🌈We opened Teddys Playrooms over a year ago, straight out of lockdown. It helped ours, and many children develop their confidence, social skills, have fun, learn and play. It helped parents get of the house, and meet new friends. We’ve loved seeing your babies grow, our youngest guest just a few days old. We’ve had so much fun. Thank you so much for your support.

As a new term approaches I thought I would take this opportunity to reintroduce myself again to friends and new followers.

I am Jackie, the Phonics Stars™️ class leader for Dartford and surrounding areas.

Before starting my Phonics Stars™️ journey I had been a primary school teacher with 20 years experience and had worked predominantly across Key Stage 1. During that time, I had much experience of teaching phonics and saw the value it has in helping children develop as readers and writers. There is nothing more rewarding than helping a child become more confident in their own abilities and giving them the necessary tools to learn how to read and write.

After having my own two children, I decided to take a break when my youngest started nursery. It was invaluable time that I really enjoyed.

When I heard about Phonics Stars™️ I was so excited as teaching was and will always be a part of me. Seeing children motivated, engaged and having fun was something I definitely wanted to be involved in!

Phonics Stars™️ promotes a positive start to a child’s learning journey where they are introduced, through play, to the wonderful world of letters and sounds. But not only this, other developmental skills are also developed including fine and gross motor skills, speaking and listening, following simple instructions and much more!

Phonics Stars encompasses everything I believe in. It provides the foundations for learning which are so important and help prepare children for the continuation of their learning journey into ‘big’ school. But above all Phonics Stars™️is all about having fun and lots of smiles!

I feel very lucky to be part of the Phonics Stars™️ family and look forward to meeting you and your little ones soon🥰

Spaces available for tomorrow’s baby’s club where we have hot drinks, biscuits and supportive conversation and socialisation for both mum and baby, as well as a range of equipment and toys for your little one to explore including our sensory section with lights, textures colours and more. All of this followed by our signature Teddy’s sing song and bubbles. JUST £5 per session!!! 🧸🌈 x
