🌟 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒃𝒚 𝒚𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒂𝒚! 🌟

We were absolutely buzzing after a full‑day Rocket Kids session with STEAM Co., and our children were nothing short of inspired.

🚀 The day began with a whole‑school assembly filled with creativity, big ideas and stories that encouraged every child to aim higher than high.
🎨 The children then spent the day together as one big team, taking part in inspiring, engaging and educational creative activities that sparked imagination and joy.
🔥 And of course… the grand finale: a 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 — made even more special by the parents who joined us to share the excitement. The smiles said it all.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌 𝒘𝒆'𝒗𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒃𝒚 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍!

🔥 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑪𝒍𝒖𝒃 took on some brilliant survival skills — building with natural materials, cracking clues, and earning a well‑deserved hot chocolate treat at the end!

🌾𝑭𝒐𝒙 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 explored food from the farm, sorting items into whether they come from crops or animals. Fantastic thinking, Foxes!

🔢 𝑯𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒈 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 have been hands-on with their maths, using concrete resources to deepen their understanding and build confidence.

🚀 𝑶𝒘𝒍 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 joined a live science session, diving into the wonders of space and gravity. Their curiosity was out of this world!

💐 Our 𝑾𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 came together to create thoughtful Mother’s Day crafts — a lovely way to show appreciation for the amazing women in our lives.

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ We also enjoyed an inspiring assembly from 𝑾𝑶𝑾 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒔, learning about an exciting opportunity we’ll be taking part in over the next few terms.

☕🍰 And to finish the week, we welcomed our wonderful 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝑵𝒂𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒓𝒔 into school for coffee, cake and quality time together. Thank you for joining us — you make our community shine.

What a brilliant week we’ve had! Here’s a little snapshot of all the fun, learning and teamwork happening across school 👇

🥷 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 have been getting stuck into some ninja training fun — lots of energy, teamwork and big smiles!

✍️ 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 have been showing off their fantastic writing skills. We’re so proud of how confident they’re becoming.

📚 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕— the children enjoyed a brilliant virtual session with Michael Rosen, full of laughter, poems and storytelling magic.

🌼 𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 — with the lovely change in weather, we’ve been out planting spring flowers to brighten up our outdoor areas.

🏅 inspire+ Legacy Tour visited us this week, supported by our amazing Sports Ambassadors. A great opportunity for motivation and inspiration.

📖 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑫𝒂𝒚 — we ended the week in our cosiest PJs! Children enjoyed reading activities throughout the day, including older pupils sharing stories with younger ones. A lovely day was enjoyed by all.

🌟 A busy week at 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐲 𝐂 𝐨𝐟 𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 🌟

Fox Class 🦊 have been learning all about 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. They sorted different types of transport into 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐬𝐞𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐢𝐫, and even took part in an exciting boat race! ⛵🚗✈️

Hedgehog Class 🦔 has been exploring their English book Tidy. Inspired by the story, they went on their own 𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 around the local area, helping to keep our community clean. 🍃🧹
Owl Class 🦉 has been investigating 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 in science, exploring how sound waves change when they interact with different objects. Lots of brilliant experimenting and curious thinking! 🎵🔍

Across the school, children have also been showing off their 𝐠𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 in after‑school club 🤸‍♀️ and creating wonderful 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧 during breakfast club 📚✨

This week our children have been taking part in the 𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆, and they’ve absolutely thrown themselves into it! 🪢💪

Our younger children have been busy creating 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒆’𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 ❤️✨ and learning all about 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒚𝒑𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 🚗🚲🚁

Our older children have embraced the skipping challenge too — they even incorporated it into their 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 ➗🧮 and have been proudly showing off their amazing work.

We also welcomed the 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎, who delivered a fantastic 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 for our pupils 💚🧠 It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to learn new strategies and build confidence.

It’s been another busy and exciting week across our Harrowby family!

🦊 𝐅𝐨𝐱 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 have been learning all about the amazing people who help us in different jobs. The children have loved exploring the roles of real‑life heroes in our community.

🦔 𝐇𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 have been having great fun in maths, investigating different ways to make a variety of values using coins. Lots of brilliant problem‑solving on display!

🦉 𝐎𝐰𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 have been experimenting with electrical circuits, even creating their own switches! They also explored which materials would make the best lunchbox to keep food warm — fantastic scientific thinking.

🧚‍♀️Across the school, children have been bringing their wonderful designs to life for our Garden of Hope, as part of the Evelyn Butterfly Effect project. It has been inspiring to see their creativity and care shine through. Evelyn's Butterfly Effect

🔢 Today we also took part in Number Day, enjoying maths‑themed activities and celebrating the children’s creativity and enthusiasm.

We’ve had a fantastic start to the week celebrating our children and all the wonderful learning they’ve been doing ✨

𝐇𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 enjoyed a virtual author session with Lucy Walters and created some brilliant information posters all about South America 🌎📚.
A few children even took part in a fun What’s in the Box? activity 🎁

𝐅𝐨𝐱 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 have been loving their outdoor play sessions — especially the water activities 💦🌿

𝐎𝐰𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 got wonderfully messy in their art lesson while making creative collages 🎨🖍️

Our parents also enjoyed a fantastic cooking session with Just Begin 👩‍🍳

We were treated to a lovely assembly from Lightspace this week too 🌟

We’ve ended the week feeling incredibly proud of all our children and the amazing work they’ve produced — well done everyone! 🌈👏

🦋 THE GARDEN OF HOPE IS COMING TO LINCOLNSHIRE! 🦋

We’re so excited to share the confirmed tour dates for The Garden of Hope — an installation created to spark real conversations about mental health and su***de prevention.

This isn’t just art. It’s a space to pause, reflect, connect, and spark important conversations ✨

In 2024, 98 lives were lost to su***de in Lincolnshire. Our Garden holds 98 butterflies, each one painted by someone in our community — from little ones in pre-school to residents in retirement homes. Every butterfly carries a story of hope and care 🦋

Inspired by Campaign Against Living Miserably Missed Birthdays and the Headlight Project Garden of Hope, we’re bringing something special to our community — and we’d love for you to come and see it.
