Cygnets has launched the Cygnets National Art Awards 2026 - a UK-wide art competition open to all young artists aged 5-18. So why not get your young artists involved.

✨Entries are now open - and it's completely free to enter!
Here’s how it works:
🎨Create an original artwork using any medium
🌈Our theme this year is Colours of the Rainbow, celebrating colour in all its glory
📸Upload a scan or photo of the piece (up to 4 pieces per child)
📅Submit any time before 30th October 2026

Prizes include:
🏆Seawhite easel and paints
🎁Access to online art projects
️Finalists featured in our online exhibition

🍂🎨 There’s still time to join us for our Autumn Term!

Our new Safari Adventures Thursday classes start this week, and we still have spaces available for young artists aged 5–12 years who’d love to get creative with us! 🦁🐘🌿

Each week, children will explore exciting projects, different materials and real fine art techniques in our friendly, supportive classes.

Not sure about committing to a full term? Trial lessons are available too, giving your child the chance to experience a Cygnets class first. 🎨

We’re so excited to welcome our young artists back for the Autumn Term, when we’ll be setting off on our new Safari Adventures theme! 🦒🐘🐆

🎨 What an amazing weekend at the Belton Community Festival! 💙

We had such a fantastic time meeting so many lovely parents, families, schools and members of the local community – but the real stars of the weekend were our wonderful young artists!

It was incredibly special to be able to showcase their hard work in our Cygnets Student Art Exhibition, and we were blown away by the feedback. So many visitors commented on the standard of the children’s artwork and were genuinely amazed by what they had created – including several professional artists, which made us especially proud! 🖼️✨

Seeing all of their work displayed together really brought home just how much our students have achieved. We’re so proud of every one of them and can’t wait to see how their confidence, creativity and artistic skills continue to develop this coming term.

🦒🍃 Give your child something to look forward to this autumn... 🎨

Our Safari Adventures term will be here before you know it, and we can't wait to welcome both new and returning young artists into the studio.

Over the course of the term, children will create beautiful wildlife-inspired artwork while learning real fine art techniques using a wide range of materials, including watercolour, acrylics, clay, inks, pencils and pastels.

At Cygnets, it's about so much more than making art. Our classes help children to:

🦁🌿 Bookings are now open for our Autumn Term! 🌿🦒

This term, our young artists will be heading off on a Safari Adventure, exploring the incredible wildlife, landscapes and colours of Africa through a series of exciting fine art projects.

Throughout the term, children will learn a wide range of real artistic techniques while working with materials including acrylic paint, clay, pencil, ink and mixed media. From dramatic elephant sunsets and vibrant Tingatinga-inspired paintings to sculpting their own meerkats and hippos, every project has been carefully designed to inspire creativity while developing artistic skills and confidence.

At Cygnets, we believe children learn best through creating, exploring and experimenting in a calm, supportive environment, with our small 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio ensuring every child receives plenty of individual guidance.

🦁🌿 We're so excited to reveal our brand new Autumn Term theme... Safari Adventures! 🦒🎨

Get ready to head out on an artistic adventure across the African savannah as our young artists explore an exciting collection of Safari-inspired fine art projects.

From breathtaking sunsets and majestic elephants to giraffes, big cats and other incredible wildlife, children will experiment with a wide range of materials, including watercolour, acrylics, inks, pastels and clay, learning real fine art techniques along the way.

Every project has been carefully designed to inspire creativity, build confidence and develop artistic skills in a fun, supportive environment.

We honestly think this is one of our most exciting terms yet, and we can't wait to see our students bring these amazing projects to life!
