Year 1 had some fantastic ideas during their first RE lesson today. They explored Job 12:10 and thought carefully about what the Scripture means to them. 🌍✨

The children then shared their ideas through drawings, showing all the things they could think of that linked to this special piece of Scripture. 🎨💭

Year 4 showed great reverence and maturity as they used the Bible to explore their new RE topic. They handled the Bible with care and respect, engaging thoughtfully with their learning and reflecting on the importance of God’s Word. 🙏💙

🧮🌟 Fantastic mathematical thinking in Year 2! 🌟🧮

Year 2 have been busy consolidating their knowledge of numbers using a range of different manipulatives. They have loved getting hands-on, exploring numbers in different ways and building their confidence with place value. 🔢👏

Mrs Wills and Mr Murray have worked hard over the summer to improve the EYFS outdoor area, creating an exciting space for our youngest children to explore, discover and learn! 🥰

Our lovely Mud Kitchen is now ready for lots of magical potions, mixing, experimenting and creative masterpieces! 🪣🪵🌱

🐠🌊 Year 3 had a ‘fin’tastic first day at school! 🌊🐠

Following their class fish theme for this year, the children created their very own coral reef! 🪸🐟 They explored the amazing diversity of coral reefs, looking at the variety of plants and animals that live there and celebrating how each one is unique — just like them! 💙

The children talked about how a coral reef is an environment where living things can grow and thrive. They then linked this to their own classroom, thinking about how they can create a supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can grow, learn and flourish. 🌟📚

Year 2 have had a wonderful first day back at school! 😊 They have loved sharing their summer memories with each other and telling their friends all about the adventures they’ve had. ☀️🏖️

💙💛 What a wonderful first day back at St Oswald’s! 💛💙

Our school has been filled with happy faces, excited chatter and lots of catching up with friends. 🥰✨

It has been lovely to welcome everyone back after the summer holidays and see our children settling into their new classes, meeting their teachers and getting ready for another exciting year of learning together. 📚✏️🌟

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for making the first day so special, and to our families for helping our children get off to such a fantastic start.

Here’s to a brilliant year ahead as we continue Living, Learning and Loving together with Christ. 🙏💙
