Over and out! No more teaching now until week commencing 5th January. I hope you all enjoy a rest and some time to yourselves to celebrate. I am so proud of all of my students & the progress they’ve made this year is outstanding. I’m a bit rubbish on here, but if you’re sat there wondering if I can support your child - please do get in contact in the New Year, as I have lots of different options to make it affordable and still have a huge impact on your child’s learning & confidence. First week back full of lots of lovely hands on practical maths. There is so much evidence that manipulatives (maths resources) are so important for children’s learning. There is always plenty to choose from during the session.

Do you think having a range of resources to hand would have helped you as a learner? I know it would’ve helped me!

Another great activity from who is the goddess of maths resources!

Fun, hands on, practical reasoning skills. Building confidence, resilience and have a go attitudes towards maths. They worked in pairs to put all the eggs on the grid, but the designs couldn’t be in the same row or column (a picture sudoku!)

They loved this activity & really interesting to see how children react to a more creative approach to maths!

NEW! SATS workshops ⭐️

After talking to a few parents that for one reason or another cannot attend regular tutoring I am offering SATS workshops.
These will be focussing purely on the skills needed for the SATs papers.

⭐️ Thursday 10th - Reading comprehension & SPAG papers

⭐️ Thursday 17th- Arithmetic & Reasoning papers

⭐️ special offer- £30 for one workshop or £50 for both 1 hour and a half hour of revision with an experienced teacher in a small group- max 5 children.

A lovely fun game thanks to teaching children all about the homophones their, they’re and there.

Using old kitchen roll cut in half and then say sentences like “I can see a plane over______” and children have to select which ‘there’ it is and roll their ball through the tube! Simple & fun!
