👻🏚️ Escape the Haunted House! 🏚️👻
What a fun session we had today at Wiz Kids! The children took on our Haunted House Escape Room challenge, solving spelling, punctuation, and grammar clues to unlock each mystery and find their way out!
With 10 clues to crack, teamwork, focus, and a bit of bravery were definitely needed… and they smashed it! 🔐✨
Learning doesn’t always have to look like worksheets, today it looked like problem-solving, laughter, and lots of excited “WE’VE GOT IT!” moments.
Well done everyone… you escaped!
Escape The Wiz Kids Haunted House!
Only the children that know all of their spellings, punctuation and grammar will be able to crack the code to escape the house!
Tonight our bunch of bright minds, shone as brightly as their smiles! There were games, laughter and team work! Maths and Verbal Reasoning and of course poetry for our in house poet Akeila🥰. We are so very proud of our students, not just academically but also because they are so kind, friendly and welcoming to every new person that joins 🫶
Tonight marks our first Wednesday session! We look forward to welcoming new and existing students to this dedicated 11 plus session. If you are thinking you would like to support your child's 11 plus journey, with the aid of a tutor; it isn't too late to sign up. We can do an assesment to identify their strengths and areas in need of support and really focus on these areas on the run up to the test.

6 years ago on memories, I was homeschooling during covid! Having to capture the interest of my boys, who were year 2, reception and a baby amongst all the worksheets set by school, was good fun! It taught me that a lot of children prefer to learn through play instead of worksheet after worksheet and I saw my children thrive being home schooled 🥰

✨ Important 11+ Update for Gloucestershire Parents ✨
We wanted to share and simplify some key changes to the Gloucestershire Grammar School 11+ admissions process and what this means for you and your child.
📌 What’s changing?
✔️ A new test provider has been appointed (Future Stories Community Enterprise)✔️ The test will move earlier, from September of Year 6 to the summer term of Year 5, starting from 2028 intake (sitting the exam in 2027) ✔️ The test will be more closely linked to the Key Stage 2 curriculum
💡 What does this mean in simple terms?
The focus is shifting towards what children are already learning in school, their core knowledge, understanding, and natural ability- rather than overly complex or unfamiliar question styles.
