Roots of Ruchill Expected Works: Monday 5th October
Maryhill Housing was awarded a small anmount of funding from the Scottish Landfill Trust to carry out works on Phase 2 of the allotment site at the Former our Lady of the Assumption Primary school just off Bilsland Drive. This work includes levelling the ground and installing wildflower meadow turf mainly adjacent to the pathway through the site. Works will also be undetaken to the slope at the exit of the site onto Parkbrae Gardens.
This work is due to start on Monday 5th October and will be undertaken by Mackenzie Construction. It is expected to take around 2-3 weeks with welfare units based onsite for the duration.

Come along and lend a hand!
Roots of Ruchill is calling on everyone to lend a hand to improve their local environment, and get involved in their forthcoming Volunteering Matters Action Earth project.
Roots of Ruchill will be planting new trees to their Community Orchard in Ruchill. This is thanks to funding from the Action Earth fund. Big Roots of Ruchill group are also able to purchase compost, trees and fruit bushes.
We would like to see as many people as possible come along to help their activity days at midday on 30th November and 7th December! If you would like more information please contact Dawn Burns at Maryhill Housing on 0141 948 1129.
