We’re super excited to remind you all that we’re part of this year’s international women’s day ceilidh this Wednesday (March 12th) at the QMU! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🪩

This event is supported by the SRC, and we’ll have a full ceilidh, raffle, and candles available to purchase from the lovely . All funds raised from this event will be donated to and - two wonderful causes local to Glasgow 💰🌈

🌎 International Testimonies Pt. 2 ✉️ Please enjoy these collated testimonies that explore sexual health experiences. They particularly focus on access to reproductive healthcare and social stigmas. We also want to thank the participants of this campaign for sharing their vulnerable experiences. Story telling in itself serves fo break societal stigmas and make people feel seen. Thank you to femsoc as well for helping us reach even further with our testimonies ✊ Thank you to our campaigns team Holly and our Kate for facilitating this project.

It’s election time! You may have already seen from the buzz around campus that this week all four of our student unions are re-electing their councils/boards. We at GSC feel that using your vote and letting your voice be heard is an essential part of student life, but we understand that it can seem overwhelming when there are so many candidates standing with so many different ideas 🗳️

That’s why we’ve put together this brief post endorsing the candidates who we think are most clearly championing intersectional feminism, student welfare, and reproductive rights through their campaigns. This includes our very own secretary and welfare officer Ayshah! 🌟🙌

Of course, we recommend you read all the manifestos before making your choice and casting your votes, but we can personally vouch for these candidates and we know they would uphold the values that we at GSC care most about if they were elected. We can’t wait to see you all at the polls (UofG Life app!) later this week! 👀
