Weāre hosting a relaxed afternoon with tea, coffee, and juice where you can hang out, meet the committee, and get to know other bioscience students. Whether youāre a new fresher or returning student, itās a great chance to make friends, ask questions, and find out what the society has planned this year.

Hey everyone!
Hope your exams went well! As our final announcement, we would like to invite anyone who is interested to celebrate with us the end of TRI-B exams at our Bioscience Society Ball on the 24th of May at 1599 at the Royal College! Anyone alongside GCU students is welcome to come along! As the ball is approaching next Saturday, the FINAL DEADLINE to buy any of our tickets including the raffle, is TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT (12AM).
Enjoy a beautifully decorated venue, dance the night away, and capture memories at our fun photobooth. Itās the perfect opportunity to celebrate the summer with friends and fellow bioscience enthusiasts.
Your ticket includes:
- A glass of prosecco or fruit juice on arrival
- A 3-course set menu
- A glass of house wine with the meal
- Access to a fun photobooth
- A DJ to dance the night away!
ADDITIONALLY, For those feeling adventurous! We have a fantastic opportunity to support Glasgow Childrenās Hospital Charity while also having a chance to win some amazing prizes! Each raffle ticket is just Ā£10, and every little bit helps make a difference in the lives of children in need. As of now, no raffle tickets have been bought, so there is a chance that you could win free/discounted tickets for our ball! Anyone is welcome to purchase these raffle tickets. We will announce our winners tomorrow, on Friday, 16th May.

Are you looking into working in drug discovery research or the biotech industry? We invite you to the First Seminar of the Bio-External Seminar Series 2024/25, delivered by Professor George Baillie at Glasgow Caledonian University!
Prof George Baillie who is based at University of Glasgow, is an outstanding researcher and speaker, who has both new and long-standing collaborations with several researchers including this seminarās host Dr. Niall Macquaide, within GCUās Biological and Biomedical Sciences Department.Ā George will be discussing his career journey to date, setting up his spin out company (Disruptyx Therapeutics), and how his labs research is translating into several clinical and industrial applications.
