What a trip!

Our 140 Prep 7 pupils have returned from an unforgettable few days in London, bringing home fantastic memories, new experiences and plenty of stories to share!

From exploring museums to enjoying a private tour of Apple HQ at Battersea Power Station, led by our Deputy Chair, Scott Massey (Class of 1989), the trip was packed with exciting opportunities. Pupils also stepped into the world of politics with a debating session at Parliament , chaired by local MP Martin Rhodes and The Rt Hon. the Baroness Laing of Elderslie DBE.

A huge well done to all our pupils for representing The Academy so brilliantly throughout the trip.๐Ÿ‘

Now it's time to recharge the batteries before the much-anticipated Prep 7 Dance! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ

๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ›ถ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ What a fantastic adventure for our Prep 4 pupils!

Last week, our Prep 4 children enjoyed a memorable one-night residential at Ardmay House in Arrochar. Despite the Scottish weather doing its best to challenge them, spirits remained high and enthusiasm never wavered! โ˜”๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

From canoeing on the loch and scaling the climbing wall to exploring the beautiful surroundings on a forest walk, every pupil embraced the experience with energy, resilience and a sense of adventure. ๐ŸŒณ

Residential trips play an important role in developing confidence, independence and friendships, and this was the perfect introduction to the exciting residential opportunities that lie ahead throughout their Prep School journey.

The excitement around rugby continues to build at The Academy, and weโ€™re committed to creating opportunities for every pupil to develop their skills and passion for the game.

This week, our S2 Girlsโ€™ Rugby group enjoyed a fantastic training session with Rianna Darroch, Scotland international scrum-half, who shared her experience, expertise and enthusiasm with the squad. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

The girls have been taking part in dedicated rugby sessions every Thursday throughout the summer term, and it has been wonderful to see their confidence, skills and enjoyment grow week by week. The programme has generated such enthusiasm that the majority of the group have now chosen rugby as their sports option for next session.

Providing pupils with access to inspiring role models and high-quality coaching is a key part of our rugby pathway, helping young players discover what they can achieve both on and off the pitch.

A huge thank you to Rianna for spending time with our pupils and helping to inspire the next generation of Academy rugby players.
