ਗਲਾਸਗੋ, 5 ਜੂਨ (ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੁਸਾਂਝ)- ਸਕਾਟਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਜੰਮਪਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਲਾਸਗੋ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ ਸੈਂਟਰਲ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਗਲਾਸਗੋ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ 'ਚ 200 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ 'ਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਕਦਰਾਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੰਦਰੁਸਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਵੀ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ । ਇਸ ਸੰਦਰਭ 'ਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਲਾਸਗੋ ਦੇ ਕੈਲਵਿਨਗਰੋਵ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਹਾਲ 'ਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਦਿਨਾ ਖੇਡ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ 'ਚ 4 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ 16 ਸਾਲ ਦੇ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ, ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ, ਤੀਰਅੰਦਾਜ਼ੀ, ਰੱਸਾ-ਕਸ਼ੀ, ਸਾਫਟ ਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਖੇਡਾਂ 'ਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸਤਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਸੰਧੂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੜਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ 'ਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਸੁਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਪੱਡਾ, ਹਰਨੇਕ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਕਮਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਪੱਡਾ, ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਗੁੰਜਨ ਕੌਰ, ਕਿਰਨ ਸੰਧੂ, ਹਰਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੌਰ, ਦਿਲਰਾਜ ਕੌਰ, ਮਨਦੀਪ ਸੁਮਲ, ਸੁਖਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਗੋਸਲ, ਨੀਲਮ ਕੌਰ ਗਿੱਲ, ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼ਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਨਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਜਸਕੀਰਤ ਕੌਰ, ਰਜਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਖੇਡ ਕੈਂਪ ਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ। ਡਾ. ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਜਸਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਟਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਟ ਏਡ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅੰਤ 'ਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਅਫਜ਼ਾਈ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਪਿ੍ਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਹਿਰਾ, ਡਾ. ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੌਧਰੀ, ਨਿਰੰਜਣ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲਾਵਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਐਮ.ਬੀ.ਈ. ਨੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੰਡੇ।

Glasgow, June 5 (Harjit Singh Dusanjh) - To connect the children born in Scotland with Punjabi, a Punjabi school is being run at the Singh Sabha Central Gurdwara Sahib in Glasgow, in which more than 200 children are studying. In a Punjabi school, where children are taught about Sikhism, Punjabi culture and social values, attention is paid to their mental health as well as their physical health. In this context, to make children aware of sports, a one-day sports activity was organized at Kelvingrove Sports Hall in Glasgow, in which more than 100 children aged 4 to 16 years participated. Meanwhile, the children actively participated in badminton, football, archery, tug-of-war, soft ball and many other sports. Punjabi school chief administrator Amarjit Kaur, Satbinder Kaur Sandhu and former police officer Dilawar Singh Benning led by Punjabi school teachers Sukhwinder Kaur, Surinder Kaur Padda, Harnek Singh, Manpreet Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur Padda, Sandeep Kaur, Bhupinder Kaur, Gunjan Kaur, Kiran Sandhu, Harsimran Kaur, Dilraj Kaur, Mandeep Sumal, Sukhjot Kaur Gosal, Neelam Kaur Gill, Gagandeep Singh, Shinderjit Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Jaskirat Kaur, Rajneet Kaur, this children's sports camp was a success. Dr. Inderjit Singh, Dr. Jasmeet Singh and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Atwal provided first aid assistance to the children. In the end, the president of Gurdwara Sahib Pritpal Singh Khaira, Dr. Inderjit Singh, Surjit Singh Chaudhary, Niranjan Singh, Amarjit Kaur and Dilawar Singh MBE. distributed prizes to the children.

Our Panjabi School had their sports day yesterday at Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed themselves! Well done to all who participated!

Members of the Sikh Community visited the Scottish Parliament for a Vaisakhi Function yesterday. We are very proud of the panjabi school children who created an informative speech regarding Vaisakhi! Pam Gosal MSP

During our event we had a poem by class 1 about Guru Ka Langar and also a presentation about Guru Gobind Singh Ji from the GCSE class.
