Step by Step Nursery

This week at nursery out little chefs had a blast making their own mini pizzas! 🍕

Not only was it a fun creative activity! But it also helped them develop key skills. The children spread their sauce, sprinkled the cheese and chose their own toppings. This helped improve their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. Such a great way to mix fun with learning!

This week the preschoolers group had a fun and tasty activity making fruit kebabs. 🍊 🍎 🍌

Not only did the kids enjoy assembling their own colourful creations, but they also worked on key life skills! The children were able to cut up their fruit which helped to strengthen their fine motor skills and boosted their independence in the kitchen. We also focused on safety by teaching them how to cut grapes in a way that prevents choking hazards.

Most importantly, this hands-on experience exposed then to healthy eating habits in a fun and engaging way! Great job, little chefs! 👏

You're Invited: Stay and Play session at the Children's Woods!

Join us for a fun filled stay and play session with Step by Step nursery on Friday the 1st of November from 10-11am.

Bring your little ones for an hour of outdoor adventure, where we'll explore the beauty of nature with exciting forest activities including cooking over the campfire, natural arts and crafts, fun games to engage little minds and bodies, and songs and stories to spark imagination

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with nature, learn through play and enjoy quality time outdoors.

We can't wait to see you there for this magical morning of fun, learning and exploration!

Children already attending Step by Step Nursery on the day will walk along to the woods, leaving nursery at 9:30 am, if you would like to walk along with us, please meet at the nursery by 9:20am or meet us at the woods at 10am.

We spent the morning exploring under logs, peeking through leaves and discovering all sorts of fascinating bugs and critters. From spotting wriggling worms to tony beetles, this outing was a reminder of how nature sparks joy and curiosity in young minds. A perfect day of adventure and learning outdoors!

Today we have been using our numeracy skills while playing with the number blocks. Experimenting with different colour patterns and the length of our number towers helps our little learners to embed their numeracy development while having lots of fun!
