We provide free music tuition, workshops, mentoring and advice for care experienced young people all across the country. We can offer any type of music tuition, from DJ and sound production, to guitar, singing/songwriting, drums, keyboard, or anything else that you might want to learn. At this time we have committed to the delivery of workshops and sessions using online technology wherever possible and will continue to provide online resources for young people to make music.

Every child has the right to access creative and cultural opportunities, as per Article 31 of the UNCRC. Yesterday Paul, Rollo and Sace were delighted to meet with Fraser McKinlay and Nick Jedrzejewski from to discuss our Musicares partnership between The Sound Lab and .

Via Musicares we provide free, flexible, participant-led music education for care experienced children and young people across 29 different local authorities in Scotland. Thanks to Fraser and Nick for making the time to explore the role of participatory arts programmes like Musicares in helping to , so that children in Scotland grow up loved, safe and respected, and get to reach their full potential.

Earlier this week The Promise Scotland sent a joint letter to all political parties ahead of the Scottish election, calling on them to support the development of Plan 24-30, and the road map for change that it sets out for the care system in Scotland. The Sound Lab were cosignatories on this letter, alongside
