The end of an era🩷

Today was our final Kick-Start Karate grading👊🏼 For now, we will be hanging up our gis and belts. Thank you to all the girls, women, and families who have been with us over the last 4 years on our journey. Here are some of our favourite photos from over the years🩷

We started off by running a trauma-informed karate course, and developed into a grassroots club with the aim of empowering women and girls. What developed, was a martial arts community of strong, confident, and kind, girls and women.

We can't wait to see what's next for you all, whether that be a different karate club or a different sport all together. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with you all and we wish you all the best of luck in the future👊🏼🩷

At Kick Start Karate we created a community that builds confidence, develops friendship, empathy, resilience, teamwork, trust, and top-tier fighters. A picture tells a thousand words, and we hope these pictures show that girls and women in the martial arts space can be so much more than just learning self defence👊🏼 All girls and women are welcome🩷

We train every Monday evening in Gillingham at above Dominos in the high street.
