👕👖👟NON UNIFORM DAY - FRIDAY 5TH JUNE
In order to support the fair, we would like to ask for donations that would be used in our tombola, just as we have done in previous years. Therefore, on Friday 5th June, we are scheduling a non-uniform day for our children and staff with a request to bring various in items.
To help, we have split our request with an aim that we gain a range of items.
🧴🛁Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Toiletries/Smellies
🍬🍫Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 Sweets/Chocolates
Of course, if any families have additional items that would be suitable for a tombola, we would very much appreciate it. On this occasion, we do not require donations of alcohol.
(Year 6 - don't panic - yours is on Monday 8th as we know many of you are away on residential!)
💚Thank you for your support in helping us organise such an important tradition for Harlow Green.

🎼🎭On the last day of the half term, years 3-6 were treated to a fantastic performance of the short opera for schools - Ada and the Code Crusaders, brought to us by English Touring Opera.
⌨️This year’s show was about Ada Lovelace, the mathematician who is credited with some of the first computer programming.
🎉💚🎼We love to be able to bring the joy of live music and musicians into school and let the children experience a different genre music and performance. It may even inspire some of our children to go on to perform in the future.
👏Thanks to the team at the English Touring Opera too who have gone off to debug the algorithm!

🌿🌿Even storm Dave couldn’t bring down the weather proof shelters our Years 6’s made this term. Good robust design combined with predicting harshest wind direction kept these structures standing. Great engineering! 🌿🌿

💻🦾🏆Computing at Harlow Green
💚Our first ever Harlow Bots LEGO League team recently took part in an exciting and inspiring competition at Nissan in Sunderland — and what a fantastic day it was!
🤖During LEGO League, the children have to programme and code a robot they have built out of LEGO to complete a range of missions to pull, push and move parts around a map.
🦾We have recently been working in partnership with the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle who have supported school with guidance on LEGO League and also helping secure grant funding for kit.
💚The child had to deliver a presentation to a panel of judges and were praised for their thoughtful responses, confidence and professionalism.
💻🦾They then had to complete in three rounds of the Robot Game, demonstrating their growing skills in coding, design and problem-solving.
🦾🏆 The Harlow Bots continued to perform brilliantly, ultimately finishing in an AMAZING 2nd place out of 17 schools. What a start!
💚🏆To top off an already amazing day, the team were also awarded the Rising Star Award, recognising their enthusiasm, teamwork and potential for the future.

❤️❤️Harlows Angels: Every week children from Harlow Green visit our friends at Angel Court Care Home. This year we are taking part in a program with Sports England to encourage the joy and benefits of music and movement for all. As you can see it's a lot of fun and gets everybody active. The progress in skills and mobility has been really impressive and both the residents and children will share their talents in a little show at Easter. ❤️❤️

A week in the Forest School. – Harlow Green Community Primary School
This week it has been so beautiful to have clear, expansive, blue skies, light shining down and not a breath of wind. A beginning of Spring filled with hope, after a very dark, wet winter. All Year groups are still learning about bird identification, playing games to help embed that knowledge but no...
