What a lovely evening at our nursery tonight...

We held our Theraplay Parent Workshop, and our hearts are so full. It was absolutely wonderful to see our lovely parents come together, connect, and share in this experience.Theraplay is structured and designed to strengthen attachment, improve self-esteem, and enhance emotional regulation through joyful, shared experiences.

A massive, thank you to Katy Moran-Parker, our Area SENCO, who guided the session with so much warmth and expertise. We hope everyone found the evening reassuring and informative.

Working hand-in-hand with our families and building strong, loving foundations together is at the very heart of everything we do. We loved sending everyone home with a little goodie bag filled with Theraplay items to try out with the little ones.

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight— we hope you all enjoyed it. ❤️

We had a wonderful morning in holiday club yesterday! We had our very own Teddy Bears' Picnic!

The children helped prepare teddy shaped picnic sandwiches and they baked jam tarts.

We grabbed our teddies and headed out to the Secret Garden for a lovely picnic.

The children had fun mixing "tea" concoctions in our juicing station, doing teddy crafts and exploring the secret garden.

Some photos of our little ones learning all about bees for World Bee Day. We also had honey and pancakes for snack and learnt lots of facts about bees and how these tiny, fuzzy helpers play a massive role in keeping our planet green and growing. 🐝

As educators, we never stop learning! We spent time during our monthly staff meeting sharing new ideas, reviewing latest practices, and brainstorming how we can continue to provide the absolute best care and early education for your little ones.

Exciting Outdoor Renovations!
We finalised plans for some brand-new outdoor renovations that will be happening very soon!! We're talking new spaces to explore, places to create, and an environment the children will love.
We are feeling incredibly inspired. 🥰

We were joined by Laura Madl a member of our board of directors to offer her support on behalf of the board and congratulate us on our efforts so far this year. Working together makes our practice stronger.

Staff Shout out this month goes to our fabulous Nicola!!! An amazing asset to our staff team. Well done Nicola!!! Xx

Combining physical movement with "action painting" is a great way to engage children who learn best through their bodies. Lots of learning while having fun.

The children;
Observed how the speed of the spinner affects the spread and shape of the paint.

Developed an understanding of body position and balance while lying face down.

Practiced the timing of squeezing the bottle in sync with the rotation of the spinner.

Strengthened the small muscle groups in the hand required to maintain a steady squeeze on the bottle.

Guessed what would happen to the paint if the spinner slows down or speeds up.

So much fun and learning on a Friday afternoon 🫟

We had a very special guest at nursery today! Local artist David Baird joined us for an incredible hands-on workshop that turned our nursery into a professional art studio!
Using a variety of mixed media, the children explored different textures and techniques to create the most fabulous piece of collaborative art. Thank you David for an amazing experience for our children.

Take a look at how the children created their very own masterpiece with David Baird Artwork .

Our three little ducklings have been collected from nursery and moved to their forever home.
They have joined a large flock where they’ll have plenty of space to roam, socialise, and most importantly splash around in a big pond to their hearts' content!

Over the last couple of weeks, the children have had a wonderful educational experience watching the ducklings grow. This hands-on project supported our curriculum in so many ways:

The children observed the life cycle firsthand, learning about how living things grow and change.

Our little learners practiced being gentle, learning how to hold the ducklings safely and understanding the importance of looking after animals.

Watching the ducklings take their first swims provided a fantastic sensory experience that sparked so much vocabulary and conversation. We have loved our duckling experience 🦆
