The manager of Academy of Music and Sound Scotland has shared the following statement about our short course programme. Some changes are coming to the programme and we wanted to take the time to reflect on all the joys and successes of providing short form education to learners across Scotland.

It’s enrichment week at AMS Exeter meaning we have a great selection of guests visiting to share their expert knowledge 🙌
Today we had excellent sessions with Josh Bessant & Sam Fisher!
⚡ Sam Fisher kicked off this mornings session with The Art of Storytelling through Video Games: Sam shared insight into the ins and outs of telling stories through Music, looking at everything from music creation to ambient sounds and how to get your music embedded into the game.
⚡ Josh joined us this afternoon to share his experience being a performer/ songwriter and events coordinator for Get Rad Festival, as well as sharing more about his bands Crooked Little Sons recent European tour.
⚡ fluff is joining us tomorrow to share his experiences as a "One-man Punk Band" and how in the space of roughly 2 years he's gone from opening gigs in local towns to headlining shows nationally and recently performing at Glastonbury Festivals. He's also going to discuss artist branding with the students.

AMS Online Tutor, Roger did the Fairlight Programming for the new Squid record ‘O Monolith’ at Realworld Studios in Wiltshire 👏📀
Roger shared the following about working on the album: “The last song on the record is probably where I had the most influence. Arthur, the keyboard player
wanted a strange vocal sound, so I loaded a 'stab' which was from a recording of the Finchley Children's Choir, who were singing a cluster that I had scored for
a movie with Trevor Eve. Arthur liked this and tracked it all over the song. This must have inspired them to actually replace it with a vocal group of their own, with lyrics, with my sample in the background.”

AMS Online Mmus alumni Mallory Chipman has released her latest EP ‘As Though I Had Wings’ 🕊🎶
Mallory Chipman is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from Treaty Six Territory in Canada. The EP features music Mallory created during her Mmus at AMS Online, based on the melodies of bird calls of birds from her home province of Alberta, Canada ✨
