We're looking for a new French teacher at Gairloch High School. The post is permanent, full-time and starts in August.

Working and living in the NW Highlands is a bit different to elsewhere! We're a small secondary school with 95 pupils, dedicated staff and few behaviour issues. Our French department has motivated pupils, particularly across the senior phase with pupils keen to learn and achieve. We would love you to be passionate and enthusiastic about working with our pupils as individuals to achieve their best. Our current French teacher - a former pupil of the school themselves - has just been appointed as Depute so we're looking to replace them with someone who can be an equally valued member of our welcoming school community.

Our catchment area includes some of the most impressive landscapes in the country - from the Great Wilderness to the Torridon hills, golden sandy beaches and peaceful lochs and rivers. Living here offers the chance to embrace the outdoors and build a life in a welcoming community. The council offers a relocation package of up to £6,500 for help with moving costs and we've a wealth of local knowledge to help you find somewhere to buy or rent if you're moving in to the area.
