Water fights are a brilliant fun. But some reusable water balloons contain tiny high-strength magnets which can pop out easily.

High-strength magnets like these can rip through a child’s gut if swallowed, causing very serious and even life-threatening injuries.

If you have a product like this where the magnets are accessible, please stop using it straight away, check for any stray magnets and keep out of reach of small children.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as the silent killer. The highly poisonous gas can kill quickly and without warning, as you cannot see it, taste it, or smell it.

Young children are especially vulnerable to the effects of CO and may experience symptoms sooner than a healthy adult. So,

• Take a CO alarm on holiday with you
• Enjoy your BBQs safely by keeping grills and BBQ equipment well away from tents and other enclosed spaces.
• Remember, even if they are cooling down, the risk from BBQs and gas heaters persists
• If you suspect carbon monoxide poisoning go outside into the fresh air straight away and seek medical attention.
