Bumblebee class had an amazing trip to Algy’s Farm shop today!

We had a fantastic morning learning all about the history of the farm and discovering what is grown there. The children really enjoyed walking through the Christmas trees, where they learned how the trees are cared for and what makes different trees so popular.

We warmed up with hot chocolate before watching a demonstration of how popcorn is made — and even got to sample some ourselves! The children then put their learning to the test with a quiz all about the farm and its produce.

We finished the morning with delicious pizza for lunch, rounding off a truly enjoyable and educational visit. A huge thank you to Algy for such a welcoming and memorable experience.

Yesterday, the whole school had lovely walk down to the Church. We are taking part in the The Norfolk Churches Trust Schools Art competition 🎨

Whilst there, the children did some sketches and rubbings and admired the beautiful, Spring landscape. Some of us got to ring the bell! We then went back to school and spent the rest of the day creating some fantastic artwork!

We've been having great fun at our new look Twilights After School clubs.

🎨 Arts & Crafts has been all about Christmas, Chinese New Year, Mothers Day and Spring.

The next two weeks will be an Easter extravaganza! We had a great laugh at our Pancake fun club, are building some wonders in the Building Club and enjoying some classic games at Games Club.

🎥In Film Club we are creating a story, building our characters and will be filming a Stop Motion film to be shown to the rest of the group before we break up for the Easter Hols.

Why not let your child give a club a go, enjoying some social time with their friends and experiencing activities they wouldn't normally do in school. We would love to see you! ✨

Some of the staff took part in a "Masked Reader" challenge! We each read a couple of lines from a book we loved and we had the children guess who was reading! We all had a lot of fun guessing in assembly! 📚🙈

📚 World Book Day 2026 📚

Yesterday the whole school had so much celebrating World Book Day! We took part in some "Extreme Reading" and explored our love of books and reading in some very awkward places. The children really outdid themselves with their costumes (Well done parents!) From Bilbo Baggins, to Alice in Wonderland, to The Enormous Crocodile! We had it all! ⭐

A massive thank you to Natasha for coming and talking to Dragonfly class about her career in archaeology! The children loved getting hands on with real archaeological finds and learning about what processes are followed when making discoveries. I think we might just have some future archaeologists! 🪏🪨🪙

Today Dragonfly class learned about Stonehenge! We had a great time using our knowledge to rebuild it using wooden blocks. We turned off all the lights and used a torch to track the sun and shadows as they moved around our standing stones! We had some fantastic discussions around what it might have been used for all those years ago! A calendar? A clock? For worship? 🪨⏳

In Dragonfly Class we have been embracing our inner cave person! This week we have been carving our own Stone Age tools such as spears and arrowheads. We also recreated lots of cave art inspired by the Caves of Lascaux!

Today in Bumblebees’ project lesson, we got well and truly stuck in! The children worked brilliantly together to make their very own raised beds using old pallets and recycled bags. We’re so excited to watch this space grow and, in time, hope to plant lots of wonderful things as we begin creating our very own allotment.

Yesterday, as part of our allotment topic, the children in Bumblebee Class had a fantastic time making their own smoothies and salad. We had great fun preparing the ingredients, learning about healthy eating and trying our creations.
