Is your child ready for their new year group?

When getting ready for a new school year we all shop for the uniform, get the shiny new shoes out, water bottle, new rucksack and it all feels so fresh, like a new beginning! We all clip that moment with a picture at the front door!

But have you ever feared about your child being ready for that next step in a brand new year group? Have you ever thought will they manage the work? Will they get left behind?

It is a common fear.

Fortunately this quiz can help you to know whether your child is ready and I'll send you some activities that you can do in these last few days before they return and beyond that new beginning!

Does your child seem to understand their maths when you practise together… but then struggle to remember it a few days later?
You’re not alone.
Sometimes children don’t need to be taught more and more new maths. They need time to practise the skills to build fluency and become more confident using them.
The focus of my new small-group Maths sessions during the autumn term is to focus on the fundamental skills.
🌟 Years 3 & 4 — Wednesdays at 3:45pm�🌟 Years 5 & 6 — Wednesdays at 4:30pm
Each session is 40 minutes, with a focus on building those essential skills, developing confidence and, as those foundations become stronger, making links and applying them to problems.
It's to get to the point where your child thinks:
“I know how to do this.” 💙
