Another fab Sunday spent doing what we love most! Today it was off to Dartford for another ADFP competition.

It was only a small team of us today, but we topped it off with a lovely early finish 🎉

As always, our dancers did us proud and achieved some fantastic results all round. We had recalls, quarter-finalists, semi-finalists and some great placings for our finalists too.

A special mention goes to our girl Darcy. Only her second time competing in that tough Under 14 Championship section, and she took 1st place today. Absolutely smashed it girl!

Whether it was making a recall, reaching a final, or simply stepping onto the floor and giving it your all, every achievement deserves celebrating. We couldn’t be prouder of our dancers today. Well done team 🔥

Another very deserving winner of our Dancer of the Month award! May’s winner was this little star, Anastasia 👏

Anastasia joined Hype in February and has been so consistent in her commitment and focus. Always smiling and happy to give anything a try, she is a total joy to teach! She has been loving her classes with us so much that she now not only attends classes at our Folkestone branch, but has recently joined the Ashford group as well to squeeze in some extra dance time each week.

One of the best things about being a dance teacher is teaching children who love dance as much as I do, and Anastasia just radiates joy whenever she’s with us.

Well done, sweetheart – keep up the amazing work. We know you have a bright future ahead of you 🌟🌟

And your Under 6 Dancer of Dancers 2026 winner is… Miss Ivy-Rose!!!

What a magical moment this was for this little lady and all of us at Team Hype.

Crowned the best dancer across all three styles – Fast, Slow and Street! ✨

She had a truly epic weekend and achieved some incredible results:

Friday Night Fast Solo – competed against Under 8s and placed 4th overall, making her the top Under 6 dancer.

Saturday Slow Solo – 1st 🥇

Saturday Street Solo – 1st 🥇

Sunday Fast Solo – 1st 🥇

Ivy absolutely adores dancing. If she could, she would live and breathe it every moment of every day. It’s rare to see that level of passion and dedication at such a young age, so what a wonderful way to celebrate all of her hard work.

Seeing the joy on her little face and how much this meant to her was priceless. A truly incredible memory and one I’m so proud to have been a part of 💗

💥 GRADE CHANGE 💥

We have ourselves a new CHAMP!!!

This extremely talented beaut, Darcy, gained her final grade point at the Rainbow Championships competition in Chatham a few weeks ago and has become our newest champ dancer for fast solo.

She absolutely stole the show and there was no doubt she deserved the win. We just know she’s going to be amazing in her new grade category and can’t wait to see her shine 🌟

✨ What a fun-filled Saturday we had at the ADFP competition in Brighton! ✨

This lovely afternoon event is all about welcoming beginner dancers into the world of competitions — and it did exactly that!

Team Hype had THREE first-time competitors taking to the floor and it’s safe to say everyone had an amazing time! From huge smiles to fab performances, the day was full of happy memories.

Our dancers came home with an incredible collection of sashes, medals and trophies and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them.

And the fun didn’t stop there… a couple of our dance mums bravely joined the adult fun section and MADE THE FINAL! 👏😂 We absolutely loved cheering them on!

As always, Team Hype brought the best energy, positivity and support for one another. We’re so proud of our dance family and the way everyone encourages each other every step of the way ❤️
