Congratulations on doing such great work this week! Once you’ve finished my Challenge - why don’t you try the National Challenge!

You can do it 💪🏻
Does any1 know what days are p.e days for p2 and p4
🚲 For your information 🚲

Tomorrow I, Bikeability Lil, and my son Fergus are taking part in Outfit Moray’s Cairngorm to Coast sponsored 100km cycle challenge.

We are cycling from Cairngorm ski car park through Abernethy Forest, along part of the Speyside Way to Grantown on Spey. We then cycle along the whole of the Dava way to Forres. Next we will follow cycle route 1 to Lossiemouth where we will have a big lie down!😂

We are hoping to raise lots of funds to help our charity to provide outdoor learning and adventurous activities for vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Moray.
Any sponsors would be gratefully received. Thanks

A wee video of Mosstodloch Primary School pupils enjoying our ramps and pump track today 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴
Bike Week 2021/22 got off to a brilliant start this morning!

The children listened carefully to instructions, calculated risk, worked collaboratively and thoroughly enjoyed their day!

P4 managed to squeeze in some Bike Week maths too! They collated data, included titles and axes and presented their work beautifully! Fantastic effort P4 🌟🦉🤩
What a big week it has been for our littlest learners! Mrs Gulland and Mrs Carden are thrilled to bits with their class! Well done P1 🌟
P6 + 7 Bikeability 2

The Bike Dr is in school tomorrow.
All children in P6 + P7 will need to bring their bike and helmet tomorrow so they can be checked.

If your child does not own a bike or helmet, they may borrow from Outfit Moray.

Children who travel by bus or taxi may leave their bikes in school over the weekend if they wish.

Mosstodloch’s page is there to celebrate success and to share achievements.

Operating as usual

What a wonderful opportunity for our children!

We were thrilled to welcome Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier into school today!

We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the new tune they have composed to accompany the Remembering Together Moray project which reflects on the experience people in this area had during the pandemic.

The music was phenomenal 🎶
The musicians were ultra talented! 🤩
Our pupils are truly blessed! 🥰

P6 and P7 were so lucky to welcome Miss Kacar from Milne’s High into class this morning!
Miss Kacar teaches French and will be a regular visitor to Mosstodloch to enhance the delivery of French to our senior pupils.
She was wowed by the enthusiasm and attitude our pupils showed towards learning French and can’t wait to visit again soon!
À bientôt Miss Kacar! 🇫🇷

We continue to be amazed at the generosity of our families! 🥰

Korra and Shae were hard and work this weekend, with their Mum & Dad, replanting trees and replacing the spiral guards with biodegradable tree shelters!

We are so grateful to Mr & Mrs Anderson for their kindness. 🦉

P6 & p7 were hard at work yesterday planning their shared learning session for their parents!

We look forward to welcoming as many P6 & 7 parents as possible - it looks like it is going to be very informative and really FUN!!! 🤩

The shared learning session is on Tuesday 26th September from 4.30-5.30pm.

Another super Learning Lunch with the gang!

It will never fail to make me smile when children are excited, informed and clear about their learning!

It is is such a joy to listen to their enthusiasm and see how they are progressing 🌟

P1 have been very busy with their buddies this week!

Their focus during outdoor learning on Wednesday was 2D shape and a wee bit of transient art using materials found in Hailey’s Garden.

Such clever wee cookies!

We like to do a comparison of our tiniest and tallest learners as they start their buddy journey. 🥹

Another busy Learning Wheel lunch!

It is wonderful to hear our children talk about their learning so enthusiastically. They were able to identify their learning intentions and share their next steps.

It is a joy to listen to them on a Friday 🤩

Our Parent Council AGM is on Monday the 11th of September at 6.30pm.

We would love to see as many of our parents as possible so that we can all do our best for our children.

Popping along on Monday doesn’t mean you have to join the Parent Council. We would welcome your ideas.

Joining the Parent Council is totally flexible, you can be as involved as much as your free time allows.

Hope to see you there 🙌🏻

It was all about Rights and identifying which ones we value the most here at Mosstodloch today. 🦉

We worked collaboratively, we shared ideas and we justified our thinking.

Great day - tad warm though! 🥵

Building the Community was toasty warm today so after we’d announced who’d completed OWL cards, shared achievements and celebrated birthdays, we ventured outside to enjoy a mindful walk!
We are so lucky with all that we have right on our doorstep. Beautiful! ☀️

These Bobby Dazzlers grew their own tatties and took some in for us to enjoy! 😍

We absolutely love the diversity of our pupils, the skills they are developing and how amazing they will be as part of the workforce in years to come!

Definitely worth a token or two! ❤️

It’s not every day the HT and DHT get invited out to play on tractors after school! Just another reason why we love Mosstodloch Primary! 🤩

04/09/2023

We are delighted to have won a giveaway of two signed Iszi Lawrence books 🤩

Huge thank you to Bloomsbury Education for these lovely resources and to Gillian Hood, our volunteer librarian, for entering on our behalf.

We love a good book here at Mosstodloch 🦉

Today is a happy/sad day for P3! 🥹🥺

Their lovely teacher, Mrs Ferguson, started her maternity leave today. We will miss her while she is away but we want to wish Mrs Ferguson all the very best and we can’t wait to meet little Miss Ferguson when she arrives.💗

We love Outdoor Learning here at Mosstodloch and we like to make the most of our beautiful playground!

Primary 4 went outside today to create some of the 2D shapes we had been learning about including 2 new ones – trapezium and rhombus. We used sticks, stones and even our bodies to make the shapes.

Mrs Jamieson has been busy learning new football coaching skills particularly for our little girls.

Disney has teamed up with UEFA and the SFA to create a programme based on Frozen II. It aims to promote the fundamental skills used in football for girls aged between 5 and 8.

This group of girls took part in a trial session and it’s safe to say they loved it! They are looking forward to channeling their inner Elsa while developing their footie techniques 👸

Photos from Mosstodloch Primary School's post 01/09/2023

This week, Miss Mackay & Mrs Jamieson enjoyed having lunch with this group of lucky learners chosen by the Wheel of Learning!

We had a lovely blether and then chatted through the piece of work the children felt proud of. Then there was time for a play with all the new toys in our Nurturing Den.

Happy Friday🦉

Our new House Captains enjoyed showing Roisin Newell, QIO, around our school today as we continue on our Rights Respecting Schools journey.

Mrs Newell was extremely complimentary about our pupils and looks forward to a return visit in the near future.

30/08/2023

Can we ask that all pupils take a jacket to school as the weather is so changeable and some of our pupils have been caught out with the heavy showers recently. ☔️

Thank you.

Lost Property 🥺

We have amassed a huge amount of lost clothing already.

Children will all be given the chance to look through the items tomorrow. Please let your child know if they are missing any items.

Please can we appeal to you to label your child’s items. It must be so disheartening to lose all these bonny new clothes.

29/08/2023

Building the Community will be on Wednesday this week just in case your little one has an achievement they would like to share. 🤩
