Fun in the snow โ๏ธ
The kitchen team - huge thanks to you all for providing the children with a delicious Christmas lunch and being so cheery and fun while you served us all! โค๏ธ๐คฉ๐
Then we rounded off an already busy day with the token treat for the winning house.
Balnacoul pupils enjoyed a snowy play followed by a tasty snack and a Christmassy movie.
A pretty perfect day all in all!! ๐คฉ
A few more from the Christmas Lunch ๐
Our children enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch today thanks to Sylvia and her team in the kitchen! We are so grateful for all their hard work ๐คฉ๐๐
The children also enjoyed a Festive Lucky Dip, some Christmas bingo and a singalong before returning to class this afternoon with full bellies and glad hearts โค๏ธ
The snow even made an appearance making it look like a beautiful Christmas movie ๐ฅ
Our pupils were challenged to create a hat to wear to their Christmas lunch! And boy did they rise to the occasion!
We were blown away by the creativity and imagination displayed by our learners ๐คฏ Miss Mackay and Mrs Jamieson were relieved that they didnโt have to make the tough decisions and choose the winners - phew ๐ฎโ๐จ Two members of the Parent Council took on that tricky job!
Mikey and Christopher helped our parents out by being unbiased models - thanks boys!
We announced the winners earlier in today and awarded prizes to all 8 children! Fantastic effort ๐คฉ
A wee flashback to last yearโs carols ๐๐ ๐ป
A few more of the costume photos we managed to snap ๐ธ๐
After a busy old week we started this weekโs Building the Community with a little festive yoga ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
As always, we dished out many certificates and awards, we celebrated birthdays and we shared an astonishing variety of achievements.
Friday also saw the first Christmas post being delivered by P5 โ๏ธ
Sadly, we said cheerio to Miss Halsall as she leaves to take up a permanent post elsewhere. We thanked her for all that she has done for the school and our pupils. We wish her all the very best moving forward. ๐ฅน
What a week!! ๐คฉ
We are so proud of all our pupils following their Christmas performances last week โค๏ธ
They continue to amaze us with their willingness to accept a challenge, their courage and their joyous approach to music!
Thanks also go to our staff for all their creativity and determination behind the scenes - the preparation and hard work you put in was obvious during the performances ๐
And a huge thanks to our school community for being such enthusiastic and appreciative audiences! You made lots of little ones very happy ๐ฅฐ

The biggest thanks of all goes to our school community for supporting our learners and staff. It was genuinely wonderful to welcome you into school again ๐ฅฐ
Well done all ๐คฉ
All the other classes had an opportunity to see the owls who were on their very best behaviour! Peggy, Lauren and Lana were just incredible and our pupils asked Claire some interesting and thought provoking questions.
What a wonderful interaction ๐ฆ
The P3 owl experience was awesome ๐คฉ Huge thanks to Speyside Falconry! Iโm sure Mrs Ferguson will share her photos on the Google Classroom. ๐ฆ
Days just donโt get much better than this! ๐ฆ
P3 are enjoying a learning visit with Speyside Falconry this morning!
The children are absolutely amazed by the beauty of these birds and they are learning so much from Claire.
The other classes will be able to visit with the owls for a short time later this morning.
Just spectacular โค๏ธ
1 more sleep!!!!! ๐คฉ๐คฉ
We have been utterly amazed at the generosity of our school community!!
We can't wait to welcome you all into the school for the first Christmas Fayre in years!
The children have worked so hard to create their class businesses and a lot of learning has taken place to understand profit, loss, costings etc. They have assumed roles, problem solved and cooperated to work towards their shared goal. These are skills that children will undoubtedly use in the future in some capacity so already they are developing their workforce skills.
We are still welcoming donations, especially;
๐
Christmas Jumpers (that you've outgrown)
๐ซ chocolate
๐raffle prizes
A post will be shared later today with information about the Fayre and the stall holders who will be joining us etc.
Please may we ask that you take your own bag as we will be unable to provide them.
May we also ask that you take change to use at the Fayre as we will have limited floats at each stall.
Photos from Mosstodloch Primary School's post
