We've been busy developing two new playground spaces for the children to use at lunchtime - a gardening zone (all set for planting by some keen young gardeners) and a new cosy 'book nook'.

A great week of Science Week in school!

This year’s theme, 'Curiosity – what’s your question?', really came through in the range of investigations the children explored - from hands-on experiments, problem-solving and testing their own ideas.

It’s been absolutely fantastic to see the children so engaged, asking questions, trying things out and learning through real investigation.

🌿 Help us keep our Outdoor Classroom safe 🌿

We have recently discovered glass bottles and drug-related litter in our school’s Outdoor Classroom. This space is cherished by our children, and the presence of broken glass and such materials poses a safety risk to them.

We kindly ask all members of our community to help us maintain this area by ensuring it remains clean and free from inappropriate use. If you are aware of anyone who may be misusing this space, please encourage them to stop.

Such a memorable day! Willow Class had a fantastic time meeting a real police officer recently. They learned about safety, asked some brilliant questions, and even got to see some of the equipment up close. A big thank-you to Sergeant Talbot for giving them such a fun and memorable experience!

Yesterday our Key Stage 2 children went along to Aveley Lodge to perform a Christmas carol concert. These relationships within our local community are so important to us at Fingringhoe, and we were delighted to be able to spend such a special morning with the residents there.
