Today in the rainbow room we have been making apple crumble. We sat around the table, the teacher talked to the children about the different ingredients we are using to make the crumble. We talked about where apples come from and how to use the equipment safely. They took it it turns to helping pouring and mixing the ingredients together.
At snack time the children all had the chance to try the apple crumble.

Today in Sunshine we have been helping to bake some cookies! During this group activity, we spoke about the importance of basic hygiene when handling food. We helped the teachers to measure the food, mix the ingredients together and take it in turns to add and mix the ingredients into the bowl. 🍪

This morning in sunshine room we went for a walk around the heathland. We collected blackberries making sure to be careful of the prickles. We enjoyed looking at the plants and helping our teacher to identify them. After our walk we enjoyed having snack on our picnic rug in forest school. We also helped our teacher put out more bark on our flooring and then had free play in forest school. During free play we made pancakes and pizzas from the sand and bark.

In baby room, we had a bubble foam party! We loved squashing and popping the bubbles. We used sponges to create more by dunking them in the water and squeezing them. We blew it up in the air to make snow and sung the bubble song too! ✨😊

On Friday in the rainbow room we talked about road safety, when to cross the road and looking at different road signs.
The children had fun taking it in turns at driving and being a pedestrian at a crossing using our listening, looking and actions when safely getting across the road.

Over the past few days the Sunshine Room has been exploring different ways we can use the apples that we were donated by Donna at Tesco. We decided to make a yummy apple crumple. The children all did a great job of chopping the apples and giving the crumple a mix. Whilst we made our crumble we talked about where apples come from and how they grow. Today we cooked the apple crumble, it was yummy.

We love superheroes in Sunshine room!! Today we have been playing Superhero games in the garden , we decided we wanted to make some puppets. The children chose which superhero they wanted to make and why it was there favourite. Whilst we made our superhero puppets we talked about where different body parts went and what we use them for.

Today in the rainbow room garden we have been enjoying doing nose painting! We spoke about the different colours of paint, we then put our nose paintbrush on, we spoke about what we were drawing and how the paintbrush felt on our nose.

Today in baby room, we were exploring the sensory room. There were lots of colourful lights to look at and lots of toys that make lots of different noises. We used our feet to feel the textures of the sensory tiles and then used our hands to play with the busy board wall! ✨😊
