Hello Everyone.

We are looking forward to welcoming current and future members of the TSM School community to our School Association AGM tomorrow (Monday 3rd July) at 6:30pm.

As we have previously explained, all the current officers are required to step down from their roles as their children will no longer attend the School, therefore to ensure the SA is able to continue and not closed down, we need to recruit for the roles of Chair, Treasure and Secretary at the meeting tomorrow.

We are very grateful to parents who have shown an interest in Treasurer and Secretary, however currently we are unaware of anyone who may be interested in the position of Chair. Therefore if you would like to be part of the SA please do attend the AGM tomorrow evening. I have attached the meeting Agenda so you can see what we will be discussing.

TSM SA AGM - Monday 3rd July, 7:30pm in the school Hall.

Dear Parents. You will have seen the attached letter sent out to you by the Trimley St Martin Primary School Staff team on our behalf.

Currently we have not received any interest from parents or guardians of children currently at the school or joining in September. As a reminder, if the School Association does not replace the officers that are standing down, (Chair, Treasure, Secretary) we will be forced to dissolve the SA and notify the Charities Commission of its closure. This means that money can then not be raised for the children at school.

Please would you contact us if you are interested in taking on a role in the SA by Friday 30th June. Contact details in the attached.

Hi everyone,

So you may have seen this post doing its rounds on social media.
Please share for us AND collect the tokens.
We will have a no contact drop box in the reception, class teachers will take them in too and I believe Michelle of Crafty Lasty on Kirton Road has a collection box too. Thankyou Michelle.

Thanks everyone.

Good morning,
Julie here. Subsequent to last night's PM's announcement I have had a very brief conversation with Mrs Ross and agreed that, although we do NOT post non SA related messages on here it's important, today, to make an exception.
I wanted to let you know that she and the rest of the SLT, governors and staff are just as in the dark as the rest of the nation on how, if and when the reopening of school will take place and what it will look like if it does.
Many parents, quite understandibly, are already making contact regarding sending their children back into school as they begin to return to work this week.
What is known is that as at this moment in time DofE and local government guidelines have not changed the instructions for school to remain closed to the majority.
Mrs Ross, like every other head, across England, is currently sat hoping and expecting for more instruction within the next 48 hrs. As soon as this has been received, digested and a workable safe plan is in place then announcements will be made to everyone. I know the team are working tirelessly to continue to support our children and prepare for all eventualities. I've seen the hours of preparation, planning and collaboration that continues to take place and just how much they're missing everyone.
Please continue to remain patient with staff, there may be some delays in their responses. The school is being run on a skeleton staff so emails and telephone call responses may be delayed too.
Rest assured that the safety of the entire TSM family and their families and thier families families are always the priority.

Take care, stay safe.

For you from the magnificent staff of TSM..... 🌈

Hello everyone,

It's Julie Gray here, vice chair. I wanted to send a message as I know we've been incredibly quiet this year. With committee members starting new jobs and others taking parental and maternity leave it's left us stretched and now with 'you know what' as well, many of our usual activities and communications have fallen by the way side. So a huge Thank you to everyone for being patient and to those who still participated in this year's Christmas and Mothers day activities.

However our silence doesn't quite mean we haven't been doing things behind the scenes and a full update will follow in due course.

On a slightly different note, some of you may know that I have recently accepted a temporary position at the school as the school's administrator until Ms Todd's return.
It's given me a valuable insight and different perspective into our schools life and I felt you should know.
We all know Mrs Ross and her whole team work tirelessly to run, nurture and better our school, regardless of circumstances, but I've seen 1st hand the lengths they've all gone to over the last few weeks crisis and I wanted you to know how INCREDIBLE they've been over this, very difficult and trying, last few weeks.

You can rest assured that all of our children are considered their family. Just today a teacher referred to her absent children as "the rest of my school family" and all of them, despite their physical absence, remain in the forefront of their minds. Everyone has been all hands to the pump, preparing resources, sharing best practise and constantly updating and changing materials to better serve us all and always with great spirit and humour. The senior leadship team have put rotas together that ensure staff only work were absolutely necessary and safeguarding teams have reached out to our most vulnerable families to ensure they remain fully supported. All have juggled their own family needs to ensure our school can remain open and function. Staff have rolled up their sleeves, bought supplies, cleaned and replaced items. They have stayed late and worked into the early hours(I've seen the emails!) considering all the variables. It's been so clear that it's been a team effort and nothing has been overlooked.

AS a staff member, I am SO incredibly proud to be able to say that I played my small part in such a team. As a fellow parent I wanted you to be able to rest assured that although TSM's daily life looks very different at the moment, at its heart it remains the same fabulous family school it always has been. Somewhere which you and your children can be confident in and extremely proud of being part of.

As an SA we'll see you on the other side when we resume 'a normal life' bigger, braver and stronger than before.
Until then, stay in, stay safe and our love and best wishes go out to you all. Xx
