** Welcome back **

It has been lovely to see everyone arrive back to school this morning for our first day of the school year.

All of the children have settled into their new classes and year groups really well and I'm sure children can't wait to share how their day went at home time!

With the new school year we are also starting a new page, please follow the link to our new page (which you will see looks very similar) and follow it for updates.

Our Pre-Loved uniform store is fully stocked with school logo jumpers and cardigans across all ages, including some fleeces. We will be placing this stock on the front grass area on the PD days in September (Tuesday 1st & Wednesday 2nd September) for you to come and have a look and help yourself to.

Please note, that the school reception area will not be open to parents on these days as all staff will be training. The office will reopen on Thursday 3rd September. Please email if your query is urgent and we will respond as soon as we can on our return.

Please can we remind you to ensure that ALL your child's belongings are clearly named - water bottles, bags, jumpers, coats etc.

We hope you are having a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you next week!

Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 children who move on to the next chapter in their education. Good luck at high school, we wish you every success for your future. You've had an incredible 7 years with us at Trimley - continue to be amazing and dream big!

We have also said goodbye to some long-standing members of staff as they move on to pastures new. Although we wish them well, we will miss them and will hold lots of fond memories of their time at Trimley.

We also wish our school community a very enjoyable and relaxing summer holiday, however you choose to spend it. Thank you for your continuous support of Trimley St Mary, it is really appreciated by all the staff.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to school on September 3rd, refreshed and ready to go for another exciting year of learning. We are especially looking forward to welcoming our new cohort of EYFS children and children joining us from other schools, as they start their journey with us.

**A message from Mrs Beston...**

Yesterday, our Year 4 and 5 Singing Club had the most incredible experience performing at Snape Maltings.

It was a very long day for everyone involved (children and adults alike!), but every single child rose to the occasion.

They performed with such confidence, passion and maturity, and their beautiful singing moved members of the audience to tears.

We couldn't be more proud of how they represented our school.

The memories they made and the experience they shared will stay with them for years to come.

A huge thank you to all of the staff who supported the children throughout the day.

A special thank you to Miss Hammond for running the club throughout the year, and to our families for their encouragement.

Well done, Singing Club – you were absolutely outstanding!

To celebrate the end of term, we are selling ice creams on the playground at the end of the school day.

We will be selling Rocket Lollies for £.100 each and Strawberry or Chocolate Cornettos for £1.50 each.

Not many days left and it will soon be the Summer break and here is a reminder we are running Holiday Camps at the following venues this Summer!

Leiston Primary School
Trimley St Martin Primary School
Trimley St Mary Primary School
Rendlesham Primary School
Unity Primary Academy

To book all venues (apart from Rendlesham) we have secured FREE HAF funded spaces for FSM children criteria.

Both paid and HAF can book on via our website. For paid customers will need pay on our website and have a PayPal account. For HAF both the Suffolk (EEQU) and Essex (HOLIDAY ACTVITIES) links are on the home page link below

Wow what a morning we have had.

All of the children have had such an amazing time, the teachers have too!

Everyone got to have lots of goes on the courses and listened well and took turns whilst having lots of fun!

We will be adding photos through out the day, there are a lot of them!

Thank you as well for all of the amazing fundraising you have been doing so far, we will update with totals at the end of the week.

** Sponsored Assault Course Event **

We are really looking forward to our sponsored event tomorrow, Tuesday 14th July and hope you are too!

All children are asked to wear PE kits tomorrow and please also ensure they are wearing socks, as this is a requirement to be able to use the equipment.

We just wanted to remind you that we are hoping to receive all sponsorship money into school by Friday 17th, last day of term where possible.

As you know, we are entering all children who raise over £20 in sponsorship, into a raffle to win prizes and we would really like to complete this on Friday so the prizes can be used over the holidays.
Please don't worry though, any remaining money which comes in, in September will also be entered into a raffle in the same way.

Please note however that ALL children will be able to have a go, regardless of raising any money.
