We would like to share another message from Svetlana Gavrilovic from Serbia:

"Mario Rinvolucri, his books and ideas have shaped me as an English teacher. Creativity and games, which he so avidly promoted, are the main reasons why I like my job still and so much (I've been a teacher for over 35 years). I had a privilege to hear him at a couple of live ELT events in Belgrade, unforgettable because of him.

Today, in his honour, I did the Marienbad game with a group of teenagers on the topic of oceans. Here is where we started from and where we ended. I hope Mario Rinvolucri's Day goes traditional."

"I wasn't able to leave a post on the page so I'm writing here. I'm not a very creative person myself but I'm an avid reader, and Mario's books constitute a cherished part of THE ELT section in my library.

Whenever I feel I'm getting bored of my teaching I turn his pages in search of fun ideas to break the routine and engage my studens.

Two activities I've been using every year with my lower secondary students are two TPR acticities:

âś… the irregular verbs gym and
âś… a preposition game where studens practise prepositions of place passing each other a ball in unusual ways.

I had the chance to meet Mario on a couple of occasions in Italy in seminars organized by the association Lend and I remember him as a very warm, fun and charismatic person.đź’—"

Mario Rinvolucri played a key role in the project that ultimately led to the creation of the HLT.digital website. Together with Bednarova, he co-created the initial concept — a vision that later came to life thanks to Erasmus+ grant funding.
