Our aim is to support children, enabling them to develop all the skills necessary for a strong foundation in the pre-school years. We are committed to offering a stimulating environment with a range of structured activities, alongside the opportunit

y for learning through play. This approach enables each and every child to gain a sense of achievement, building their confidence whilst enjoying what they do. Little Fishes was established in 1996. It is owned by St James’ Church, Rowledge and is based in the Church Centre, which provides a quiet location, next to Alice Holt Forest.

We are recruiting! A rare opportunity has arisen to join our small and friendly team as a part time nursery administrator (12 hours per week).

We are looking for a natural communicator, with a genuine passion for working with families. The role would suit a person with a friendly, warm and personable demeanour. You would need to be organised and able to handle multiple tasks calmly and efficiently. We are looking for someone who can work independently, yet willingly contributes to the nursery as a team player

Did you know that "risky play" activities like hammering a nail can help children build the muscle control, coordination, and focus needed for writing? The children have loved creating faces and flowers with wood and old CDs as part of our afternoon forest fun activities.
