☀️ What an absolutely fantastic Sports Day we had today! The sun was shining, the energy was electric, and every single child gave it their absolute all.

From the roar of the crowd during our fiercely competitive track races to some incredible long jumping and javelin, the talent on display was phenomenal! It was also brilliant to see everyone stuck into the activity carousel.

A massive shoutout and thank you to the team at CM Sports for helping us run such a smooth, high-energy day and also to the fantastic Sports Leaders from Cove School.

To our amazing parents, families, and carers: thank you so much for coming along, cheering at the top of your lungs, and creating such a wonderful, supportive atmosphere for the children. Your encouragement means everything.

🏆 Finally, a huge congratulations to WHITTLE house for claiming the ultimate victory and lifting the House Cup this year!

🏆 BIG WIN FOR OUR DANCE CLUB! 🏆

Earlier this year, Miss King's fantastic dance club took part in the Gremlin Dance Challenge—and we are absolutely thrilled to announce they won the 'Most Synchronised Performance' award! 🩰✨

The theme of their dance was Barbie, chosen by the girls to promote a powerful message: you can be anything you want to be in this life! Whether you are confident, creative, or completely yourself, it’s a message our school truly believes in. 💖🌟

Bringing together a mix of different year groups, varying dancing experience, and overcoming plenty of challenges, the girls worked brilliantly as a team to produce a spectacular routine. We are so incredibly proud of them all!

Year 6 children caught the public bus as part of an exciting trip designed to help them develop important life skills, such as travelling independently and responsibly. 🚌

They visited the Aldershot Military Museum to support their history project and took part in a range of engaging workshops about how life changed for people living in Farnborough during World War II. The children learnt about rationing, practised training activities linked to the Home Guard, and explored basic first aid. 🎖️

They also had the chance to look around the museum, explore army vehicles, and finished the day with army drills on the trim trail, making the experience both educational and memorable. 🪖✨

What a fantastic last day at Grittleton Adventures! 🌟

Our children took on even more new challenges, including buggy building and tackling Jacob's Ladder. These experiences sparked so much creativity, communication, and teamwork. It was wonderful to see such resilience, determination, and mutual support on display! 💪✨

To wrap up an amazing trip, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner followed by a classic evening around the campfire—complete with marshmallow roasting, hot chocolate, music, and dancing. 🍫🔥🎶 It was the perfect opportunity to reflect on the fabulous memories made and celebrate a truly unforgettable week together.

❤️ A massive thank you to all the adults and staff who helped make this incredible experience possible!

A highlight was fencing, where they showed fantastic focus, determination and resilience as they learned new skills and grew in confidence.
Throughout the day, it was wonderful to see them encouraging one another, working brilliantly together and embracing every challenge with positivity.

⛺️ Year 3 Camp-Out Success! 🍦
On Friday, Year 3 took part in the first of four exciting residentials at Guillemont—a brilliant one-night camping experience out on the field in the glorious sunshine! ☀️

After pitching their own tents with the help of our wonderful parent volunteers, the children enjoyed a being treated to an enormous ice cream, sitting around the campfire singing songs, den building for their teddies, parachute games and a picnic dinner followed by a winding down session with stories and meditation in the hall.

For some of our year group, this was their very first time staying away from home. All of the children showed amazing resilience, bravery, and independence throughout the night. We are so incredibly proud of them all! 🌟

A huge thank you to the parent volunteers and staff who made this memorable experience possible. 🏕️❤️

☀️ Year 6 Residential Update: Day 1! 🏰
Year 6 arrived yesterday in beautiful sunny weather and were warmly welcomed by the cheerful Grittleton staff.

The children were given a tour of the grounds and received important information about the centre and the exciting activities ahead. Once settled, they enjoyed their packed lunches before heading to the dormitories to unpack and organise their rooms. 🧳💪

In the afternoon, the children jumped straight into their first activities:

🪓 Axe throwing

🌲 Den building

🏹 Trebuchet building

🪜 The crate challenge

The children showed incredible enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience throughout! 🌟

To end a packed day, Year 6 took part in a sports evening and a thrilling 'Mystery at the Manor House' game. Everyone has had a brilliant start to the trip and we can't wait for today's adventures! 🧭✨
