Playing in the garden before it gets too hot x

With the weather being so unsettled this week we thought we would start the day off by exploring lots of different transport toys. The children enjoyed choosing from the box, naming the vehicles and making their noises. The motorbikes and hot wheel cars seem to be the favourites. X

Planting time. Been waiting all week for some sunshine but couldn’t wait any longer. Xx we wanted to plant our sunflowers x the children loved getting messy with the soil, filling each container to the top then adding the seeds. Hopefully we will find some more seeds when we have our fruit at lunchtime xx

When the weather is rubbish outside, let’s have a behind the sofa tea party to cheer ourselves up. Xx

After school fun. When we have 4 after school friends to play, let’s set up a creative station. X with an added snack box to share x

This morning we had some creative time before heading outdoors. We watched the caterpillars crawling and moving then used our crayons and stickers to design some flowers and butterflies x

Introducing some of the younger children to Marble run. Great fun for helping with fine motor skills. They loved watching the marbles roll from the top all the way to the bottom.

With our caterpillars growing nicely we took inspiration for our drawing activity. We included our butterflies and real flowers on the table to try and copy. X we looked at all the colours and shapes that we could see and also the different smells.

Morning welcome. I always enjoy setting up some activities in the morning for when the children arrive. I love to see whether they explore what I have put out or whether they dig deep into the toy box to find their own treasures. X
