βοΈ What a week of hot weather and sunshine!
Iβve been away for a few days enjoying a little break, but now Iβm back doing final preparations with my Year 11 students ahead of their last GCSE Maths exams π
Itβs always such an important stage β helping students feel as calm, confident and prepared as possible going into those final papers.
At the same time, Iβm already starting to support Year 10 students preparing for the move into Year 11 this September.
The summer holidays can be a great opportunity to:
β fill gaps
β build confidence
β strengthen key topics before mocks
β reduce pressure later in Year 11
I currently have some availability for:
β’ GCSE Foundation
β’ GCSE Higher
β’ Further Maths GCSE
β’ KS3 Maths Support
π© Feel free to message me for more information or current availability.

One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring is seeing confidence grow.

β’ Fill gaps
β’ Build confidence
β’ Prepare for exams
β’ Improve grades
It's always a pleasure to support students on their maths journey.

Itβs always wonderful to hear feedback like this...
Seeing students grow in confidence, and even begin to enjoy maths, is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring.
β¨ Year 10 students: this is a great time to start preparing for Year 11.
GCSEs will be here this time next year, and starting now can make a huge difference.
I will shortly have some 1:1 online tutoring availability for students looking for support with:
β

β
GCSE Higher
β
Level 2 Further Maths GCSE
β
Filling gaps before Year 11
β
Building confidence and exam readiness
Starting now can help reduce pressure later and give students time to strengthen key topics before mocks and final exams.

Reading notes has its place β but doing maths is what improves maths.
Past papers are one of the most effective revision tools because they show students:
What exam questions really look like
Which topics need more work
How marks are awarded
Practice + review = progress.

One of the best ways to prepare for GCSE Maths?
β
Past papers.
They help students:
β’ Get used to exam-style questions
β’ Spot gaps in understanding
β’ Practise timing
β’ Build confidence before the real exam
A big mistake students make is saving past papers until the very end.
Start using them early β and use mistakes as learning opportunities.
I often use past paper questions in tutoring sessions to help students apply topics in an exam context, not just learn methods.
π¬ Does your child use past papers regularly for revision?

Itβs always lovely to receive feedback from parents, especially after supporting students through their GCSE preparation.
"Victoria helped our son in preparation for his GCSE Maths. Her sessions were invaluable in assisting with specific topics that he needed further support with. Additional resources were continually provided, and lesson feedback was targeted, prompt and effective."
β Marc, Dubai (GCSE Parent)
I really enjoy helping students build confidence, strengthen understanding, and feel more prepared for their exams.
Thank you for the kind words, it was a pleasure working with you.
I currently support students in KS3, GCSE and iGCSE, both in the UK and internationally, through calm, personalised 1:1 online maths tutoring.

π Maths Revision β Laws of Indices
Quick refresher! Remember:
β¨ When multiplying powers, add the indices
β¨ When dividing powers, subtract the indices
β¨ When raising a power to a power, multiply the indices
Indices donβt have to feel overwhelming.
When students understand the why behind the rules, algebra becomes clearer and confidence grows.
Mastering these rules makes algebra so much easier π
If your child needs calm, clear support with KS3 or GCSE Maths, Iβm here to help.
ποΈ Waiting list now open for June β more spaces will become available then!
Message me to secure a place or to find out more.
