We hope all our students and apprentices are having a great half term. With the warm weather, we want to share a quick but important reminder from the RNLI.
If you’re in trouble in the water, could save your life.
🛟 Tilt your head back with ears submerged
🛟 Relax and try to control your breathing
🛟 Use your hands to help you stay afloat
🛟 It’s OK if your legs sink, we all float different
Remember it. Practise it. Share it. Find out more on the RNLI website.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, we are taking time to focus on something that matters to all of us — mental health and wellbeing.
Throughout the week, students and staff got involved in activities, conversations, stalls and explored resources all designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage people to reach out for support when they need it.
Whether it is checking in on a friend, taking a moment for yourself, or learning more about mental health, every small action makes a difference.

Inspiring the next generation of aerospace innovators ✈️
Recently, our students heard from AERALIS about how they are rethinking aircraft design through innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge engineering.
During the session, students gained valuable insight into the future of aerospace and the thinking behind AERALIS’ modular jet system - an approach that is helping to reshape how aircraft can be designed, developed, and delivered. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to hear directly from industry professionals and see how the principles they are learning can be applied in the real world. ⚙️
Experiences like this play an important role in helping students understand the breadth of opportunities within the aerospace sector, while also highlighting the innovation and collaboration driving the industry forward.
🌟 A huge thank you to Anton Burford and Callum Watson for sharing their insight.

This week, we were proud to welcome EBP South to host their Solent Primary Schools’ STEM Fair – two days of fun, action-packed, and hands-on careers inspiration. 🌟
Over 200 primary pupils stepped into the world of through short, high-energy challenges led by local employers. Students experienced everything from engineering builds and sustainability tasks, to robotics, coding, and health-based activities. 🤖🩺
The best part? Seeing curiosity turn into confidence as students solved problems, worked in teams, and started picturing where STEM could take them.
A huge thank you to EBP South and Portsmouth Water for bringing this to life at CEMAST, and to sponsors BAE Systems and Fareham Borough Council for supporting an event that helps young people see future pathways earlier - and believe they belong in them.
