🌍✨ Summer Art Passport: Around the World ✨🌍

This summer, we’re travelling through art, no suitcase needed 😄

I’m running a series of themed creative workshops inspired by different cities and countries around the world. Each session is a standalone experience, where children will create two finished artworks inspired by each destination, using different materials and techniques.

✈️ Upcoming sessions:

🗽 24th July – New York
Statue of Liberty clay sculpture + mixed media NYC skyline collage (layering, texture & drawing)

🇬🇷 14th August – Santorini
Watercolour coastal landscape + Mediterranean tile pattern piece (colour blending & design work)

🏯 28th August – Kyoto
Cherry blossom ink painting + building and fan design (ink control, mark making & composition)

Each workshop is step-by-step and fully guided, so children can explore different materials and techniques while creating work they’re really proud of.

​Everyone did an amazing job hand-drawing and painting a trio of classic, vibrant drinks, from tropical blended favorites complete with pineapple wedges and cherries, to refreshing lemonade highballs and elegant spritzes.

​As you can see, everyone brought their own unique style to the table! Some went for soft, dreamy blends while others added bold, defined linework.

🎨 What a brilliant day in the studio with our home education groups! 🎨

We started the day with our first group diving into printmaking and creating their own pattern plates inspired by African Print. As always, creativity took its own path, and we even had some fantastic football-inspired designs sneaking in after last night’s big victory! ⚽✨

Later on, the vibe completely shifted for our Silver Masterclass. I turned the studio into a cosy, whimsical cinema complete with fairy lights, bean bags, and popcorn as we settled in to watch Loving Vincent. The students did an amazing job analyzing the stunning, hand-painted animation style as they prepared to write their upcoming film reviews for Unit 1. 🎬🍿

Such a wonderful mix of vibrant hands-on creating and deep, thoughtful discussion today. So proud of everyone's hard work!

Summer Private Group Specials ✨️

The idea is simple, gather a small group (friends, siblings, family) and I’ll run a relaxed, creative session just for you. No prep, no stress, just turn up and I’ll handle the rest ✨

A finished piece to take home
A private session just for your group (no mixed bookings, no distractions)
1.5 hours of guided creative time in my Wickham Studio

It’s £88 for up to 4 children or adults, so it’s split between you it’s a really easy way to tick off a summer activity without overthinking it.

✨ Today in our Home Ed Art Groups… ✨

We explored the bold, beautiful world of African pattern design, taking inspiration from traditional Kente cloth and mudcloth.

Using gel plates, the group experimented with layering, texture, and repetition to create their own striking prints… and then (my favourite part!) followed their own creative instincts to take those designs somewhere completely unique 🎨

Every single piece came out so different, full of personality and confidence, just look at that colour and pattern work!

Meanwhile, our Silver Masterclass students have been hard at work behind the scenes 👀
They’ve now finalised their concepts and will be recreating four famous paintings in collaboration with their drama group later this July… I cannot wait to see this come to life!

So proud of all of them 💛

Think Art History is just dusty canvases and polite portraits? Think again. Join us for an evening that’s more "True Crime" than "Fine Art" as we dive into the chaotic, messy, and downright lethal lives of the Renaissance masters.
We aren’t looking at the brushwork; we’re looking at the beef.

The Scandalous Lineup:
* Michelangelo’s Savage Revenge: Learn why he painted his enemies into the literal pits of Hell in the Sistine Chapel and why they’re still stuck there for the world to see today - the pope definitely found it low-key funny. 🔥
* The "Da Vinchi" Blunder: The hilarious 16th-century "knock-off." We’ll look at the student who tried to forge a masterpiece but got caught because he couldn't spell his teacher's name. The original "Rolexx" fail! ✍️🚫
* Raphael’s Party Lifestyle: He was the golden boy of the Renaissance, but his legendary "extracurricular activities" led to a fever that killed him at just 37. It’s a death story the textbooks usually gloss over. 🥂💀
* Caravaggio, The Real Bad Boy: Swords, brawls, and a literal death sentence. We’ll track the trail of chaos left by the man who painted like an angel but lived like a demon. 🗡️🩸
