Year 4 are currently swimming and they really look forward to this part of the week. We use an amazing facility at RNAS Culdrose which helps our children learn the vital skills of swimming distances, learning a range of strokes and self rescue skills.

We are most proud of our Year 6 basketball team who came fourth in the primary annual basketball league. Playing against 9 other schools we did well to win more matches that we drew or lost. We had a very exciting visit from Matt and Tara from the RNLI and today. They told us all about personal and beach safety, we remembered the 3 flags, how to call for help, what to do if we get lost or get into difficulties. Our volunteers from KS2 were brilliant, dressing up, calling for help and acting out what to do if caught in a rip current. You have inspired many of us to want to become lifeguards of the future.

Hockey 2026
Our team from year 5 and 6 are playing in the primary school’s hockey league on a Wednesday evening at Penryn College Cornwall. They have played four games so far, losing one, drawing two and winning one. They are very much looking forward to playing again next week and are all working hard to try and be awarded the new school trophy stick! Well done Jacob who was awarded the stick this week for excellent defending and for being a great captain, showing great sportsmanship and spirit throughout the four matches so far 🙌
