A new and exciting music course for flute and clarinet students in Manchester during school holidays.

After the success of our last several music courses for children, we are kickstarting the year with a NEW Top Winds course for adults!

Join us for a special one-day event on Sunday 1st March at Dunham Massey Village Hall where we will rehearsing to perform a concert after a day of masterclasses in performance and ensemble skills.

Entries are available for students aged 18 and over of all abilities on flute, recorder, clarinet, oboe and bassoon. If you’re looking for a performance opportunity or chance to meet other like-minded musicians to play with, this course is for you!

That’s a wrap on this years’ summer school!

We’d like to thank each and every participant for their hard work, creativity and engaging attitude throughout the course. It was a joy to witness the teamwork and friendships that developed in such a short space of time.

After three days rehearsing new ensemble pieces, solos, jazz standards, improvisation and composing a new piece, students performed in a showcase concert to friends and family. Bravo to all participants for a truly incredible performance! 👏🏻

We’re featured in the Clarinet and Saxophone magazine! There are still a few spaces available for our summer school in August for Flute and Clarinet players aged 10-14.

We had a fantastic day of music-making yesterday! The students learnt new Christmas music in ensembles, rehearsed solos with piano accompaniment and prepared a Christmas concert to friends and family showcasing the days achievements. Well done to all of the students for their wonderful performances! 👏🏻

🥁 We are thrilled to announce the return of Top Winds with a Christmas Special one-day course and concert! 🥁

This will take place on Sunday 1st December at St Ambrose Preparatory School in Hale from 11am-5pm.

The day will include workshops playing in groups and solo, masterclasses on performance and coached accompaniment rehearsals with piano.

Looking back on last month’s fun-filled musical summer school, we’d like to say a huge well done to all of this years’ participants! 👏🏻

After three action-packed days learning new music, improvisation and composition skills, the students performed a tremendous showcase concert to their family and friends. 🎵
