Fantastic news as one of our Alumni secures a high level appointment at Premier League club Bournemouth FC.

Congratulations to Lewis on a terrific career move.

OPPORTUNITY: A great opportunity has arisen for a centre back (central defender) to join a top level program in North America.

Ideally, the preferred candidate will be aged between 18-20 years with previous attachment to a full-time football club’s academy (first team experience preferable but not essential.)

A desire to pursue a university degree is a requirement as candidates will be required to meet certain academic criteria.

SFUSA THROWBACK: Where are these guys now?

There are some terrific stories and lives made in the States and beyond for the guys in this photo.

SFUSA: Huge congratulations to our former Student Athlete Jamie Cleland who has recently been appointed as the Head of Academy Goalkeeping at top MLS side Philadelphia Union FC.

Jamie, from Fife in Scotland, won a national championship with the University of Maine Fort Kent before transferring to NCAA DI program Saint Peter’s University.

Making the United States his permanent home, Jamie most recently worked at the University of Delaware as their Head of Goalkeeping before leaving to take up his new role with Philadelphia Union.

Congratulations to Jamie. We are all very proud of your accomplishments.

It was with immense pride that we watched one of our former Student Athletes - Sam Pugh captain his Buckie Thistle side in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park this past weekend.

Sam, a former Grandview University captain during his time in the United States, led his Highland League side into the biggest game of their careers and despite going down to the Scottish Cup holders, acquitted themselves extremely well.

SFUSA: Our four Canadian National Champions were invited back to Cape Breton University to help inspire and cheer on the team as they competed for the 2023 National Championship on their own patch.

Delighted to report that the team was indeed inspired and, to the delight of a huge home supporter, were victorious.

Congratulations to all at Cape Breton University.
