Received an email from Eastern Counties yesterday about their 'brand new initiative'. This is their mission statement:

Our mission is to increase the amount of players who can play in the front positon across clubs within Eastern Counties. As more and more clubs are struggling to find players who either willing or able to be competent in the front row position...

Doesn't this look incredibly similar to the objective of this page which was set out before the end of last season!

I would not possibly consider my idea has been used by others, but would like your opinions and thoughts on this please.

Chris Capps Jenner any insights?

Long day for the first Eastern Counties U18 game. Well worth it though even though we didn't win overall.

Proud and absolutely buzzing that Prop-L you forwards has taken me down an exciting and unexpected avenue. Honoured to be a part of the Eastern Counties coaching set up.

A Prop's Testimony to a Back

Son, in this world there are scrums. And in those scrums you need props. Are you willing to do it? As a prop, I have more responsibility than you can ever fathom.

You use words like "drunk" and "out of shape"; those words are the very backbone of a life I spent drinking and partying in, and you use them as a punchline.

You weep for your wings and centers, and curse the prop forward. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of knowing that the front row, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, wins these games you play. Truth? You can't handle the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about in your selection meetings, you want me in that scrum; you need me in that scrum.

I neither have the time nor inclination to explain myself to a back who scores on the very blanket of ball retention that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just bought me a beer and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you crawl into that scrum and get dirty. Either way, I don't give a damn who you think is responsible.

The Prop

They are the players wearing shirts number 1 & 3. The role of both the props is to support the ho**er in the scrum and to provide support for the jumpers in the line-out. The props provide the main power in the push forward in the scrum. For this reason they need to be exceptionally big and strong. As the scrum is a battle of tactics, deception and moral fortitude.

Props are widely accepted as the smartest, best looking and most important players on the pitch. Archaeological records show that beer was invented to stop props taking over the world.

For many clubs pre season is underway. Now is the time to assess if you have enough front row cover to go through the seasons.
Bookings are starting to come in so please like and share the page if you haven't already.
Please let your coach or D O R know about Prop L you Forwards and the services I provide. It could mean less matches going to uncontested scrums or being cancelled, that can only be good for rugby.
Thanks.

Too many games are called off or have to go to uncontested scrums due to a lack of competent front row cover.
Prop L you Forwards aims to convert more players in to confident, competent front row scrummagers, either to prop regularly or be comfortable as nominated front row replacements. By having more players able to scrummage, clubs can only benefit over the season.
