Primary 1 are enjoying exploring their outdoor space. The provision provides rich opportunities for play. Today a group enjoyed chasing the bubbles, playing hide and seek, mark making, hunting for bugs, small world play, making lunch in the mud kitchen....I wonder what they will be doing tomorrow?

Children in Primary 1 are enjoying exploring their new playground. We have lots of loose parts for children to enjoy together and we even ended up with a musical band this week too, with children enjoying dancing to the beat of the drum! 🥁
Please encourage children and older groups not to go into the nursery and Primary 1 playground after school though as unfortunately we found some of our loose parts broken this morning.

At our first assembly we spoke about our values and expectations this morning.

We then also celebrated our achievements, both with in school, star pupil ⭐️ and wider achievements outside of school - well done to all of our wonderful children.

On Thursday we were very fortunate to have Russell Gray and his son delivering a musical workshop.
The children all enjoyed hearing the instruments and hopefully
feel inspired 🎶

Each day is a learning day!
Today the nursery and early years centre team joined together to have a learning session and exploration of working with clay.

They created and explored the material and found how it can be moulded and worked best.

We look forward to it being part of our basic provision within the nursery play room when the children join us on Wednesday.

It was lovely to welcome many of our families who will be joining us in Primary 1 in August to a meet on the beach session this morning . Children had a chance to catch up with friends, collect shells and paddle. We even enjoyed a piper practising their tunes on the beach today! We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school again on Wednesday 19th August. Enjoy the last week or so of the holidays. 🌞
