This week has been all about Aladdin and the children have enjoyed lots of genie themed activities. We all enjoyed singing and dancing to the songs and listening to the Tonie Aladdin stories.

Alongside our Aladdin theme, the children have turned into little hairdressers this week in the role play area; brushing, stying, and even washing Hannah’s hair! We have also been practicing our math skills with the balancing frogs, making ice cream in the camper van, and flying to space in the small world area.

The blue tedders got very creative this week with Hannah. They made their very own magic genie lamps and we spoke about the different colours and wishes they may make.

The yellow tedders have been talking about what their 3 wishes would be from the genie and they painted their own genie lamps. They have also been practising their end of year show.

Green and Red Tedders have been enjoying lots of free play and music making. We have been playing lots of instruments and enjoying finding ways to move our bodies to music.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and will see you next week.

This week has been all about Ratatouille!

The children have had a lovely time taking part in all of our activities. We all enjoyed tasting some French food at snack time. We tried baguette, cheese and crackers, grapes, crepes, and pain au chocolates, and everyone thought they were delicious!

Alongside our Disney topic, the children have been busy working on their maths skills with the number block trains and cars, building with the vet magnets, and cooking up some yummy food in the kitchen.

The blue tedders have been little chefs this week, making some delicious food in our Ratatouille kitchen. They also enjoyed decorating their own chopping boards.

The yellow tedders have had fun making Ratatouille chef hats and cheese and salami sticks. They have also had a brilliant school transition and have really settled well. Very proud!

The red and green Tedders have been loving mark making and colouring as well as working on their gross motor skills doing lots of bouncing on the trampoline. They have really enjoyed cooking in the new play kitchen in their area with Chef Remy.!

Just a reminder next week is half term and we are not open. We hope you all have a lovely week in the sunshine and look forward to seeing everyone again from the 2nd June!

Many thanks to the Village Hall for purchasing a new baby changing unit. This is part of the refurbishment Project that the Village Hall is currently raising funds for.

The unit is higher than the old one, and has a fold out section making it easier for the staff at Sara’s School, parents at the Toddler Group and for anyone else hiring the hall.

I think we can all agree it is definitely a lot smarter than the old one which I believe to be over 30 years old!

This week was Winnie the Pooh week.🍯🧸

The children have had a wonderful time getting stuck into some Pooh bear activities - tasting some delicious honey on toast, making different characters with the playdoh, and listening to the Winnie the Pooh Toni songs.

Alongside Winnie the Pooh the children have loved building with the duplo, have a teddy bears picnic, and helping to make each other better in the hospital role play. We have also had the bikes out and enjoyed races in the sunshine as well as playing with the hair accessories getting the adults to do their hair and even washing Jazz’s hair in their own salon.

The yellows have also been completing their school books and they had another fantastic transition to Tedburn School.

The blue tedders got creative making some lovely Winnie the Pooh faces with Hannah, and also practiced writing their name.

The Green and Red tedders have enjoyed making their own picnic mats and then enjoying a fruit and jam sandwich picnic.

The Red tedders made their own sandwiches, spreading the butter and jam and cutting their own strawberries.

Next week is Ratatouille week. The children are already looking forward to the fun activities we have planned.🇫🇷🐀

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you next week. From Sara, Roxy, Hannah and Jazz😊

This week we have continued our Disney theme and have enjoyed learning all about
‘inside out’ and talking about emotions.

Alongside all things Disney we have been police officers this week, the children have loved the role play area, making arrests, taking finger prints and filling out wanted posters. We have also enjoyed some colour mixing this week, this started off with playing with the colour blocks, Sara then did some science experiments with the children for them to explore what happens when we mix colours. This week we saw some lovely sunshine, so headed into the garden where Jazz did some planting with the children to grow some sunflowers. We can’t wait to watch them grow and learn about the life cycle of plants.

The yellow tedders talked to Roxy about things that make them happy, sad or worried and made character silhouette pictures. They also have had another fantastic visit to school.
Hannah and the blue tedders enjoyed exploring the memory sensory tray.
The red tedders have been making some emotion cards with Jazz and exploring showing emotions through facial expression.
The green tedders enjoyed exploring the inside out sensory tray with zip lock bags with paint for them to explore alongside colourful pasta.

Next week is Winnie the Pooh week!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend. See you next week.

This week we continued our Disney theme with a ‘Moana’ week!

The blue Tedders got creative making some of their very own ‘shiny’ Moana crabs and made their ‘ocean in a bottle’. We also enjoyed lots of singing and dancing in the garden to the Moana songs.

The red and green tedders have made beautiful Moana wreaths while working on their colours recognition and counting and sticking and glueing. They have also really enjoyed the new transport Toni’s we have brought this week and playing with the dinosaur small word and music area.

The yellow tedders have enjoyed singing and using instruments to the sound of the beat for the ‘You’re Welcome’ song. The children have got lots done in their school books this week and they had another lovely transition afternoon at Tedburn School on Thursday.

Next week we continue our Disney theme with a week all about “Inside Out” and emotions.

Have a lovely weekend, see you next week.

Due to current children moving up a group, we have a little bit of availability for the summer term and our waiting list is growing for September 2026 and January 2027!

We have been busy over the last few months making big improvements to all our areas, and the children have been enjoying the new resources.
