📢 Surplus School Furniture Available! ♻️

As part of ongoing improvements to our learning environment, we have recently purchased new tables and chairs for our classrooms. This means we now have a large amount of surplus furniture available.

Rather than seeing it go to waste, we would love to support our local community and promote the importance of recycling and reusing wherever possible. ♻️🌍

Year 4 had an amazing visit from Animals 2 U today as part of our science topic. We held hissing cockroaches, leaf bugs, mice and a bearded dragon!

Dear Montgomery Year 6 leavers,

We are so proud of you and cannot believe how quickly the time has flown — from your first days at Monty to the confident, thoughtful young people you have grown into. As you begin the next exciting step and start secondary school on Monday, everyone here sends you our warmest wishes.
You will be a fantastic asset to your new schools. You are curious, resilient and kind — you carry the Heart of Monty values with you: Determination, Honesty, Passion, Respect, Self‑Belief and Teamwork. These will help you make new friends, meet new challenges and enjoy lots of new opportunities.
Be brave, be curious and don’t be afraid to try new things. Remember that everyone at Montgomery are cheering you on — we know you will do brilliantly. We look forward to hearing about your adventures, successes and all the things you discover next.

Montgomery Sports Day 2026 💜🏆

It was great to see so many of our fantastic school community at the Montgomery Sports Day events for this school year. The pupils loved the challenge of performing and showcasing a small snapshot of their PE skills to an audience of their peers, friends and families 🙌

We appreciate your patience whilst we conducted the painstaking process of adding up the thousands of points that were earned over the course of the 3 separate scores events (Reception, KS1 & KS2). Over the past 2 days, we have finally been revealing the results to our pupils throughout the school, so we can now share the news with everyone publicly…

Congratulations to our winners for 2026- GREEN GUARDIANS 🟢🥇 And a big well done to all the other pupils that took part and tried their best in their events 👏

🌊✨ What a fantastic adventure for our Reception class! ✨🌊
Yesterday we headed off on a very exciting trip to Dawlish Warren beach — complete with a train ride that had everyone buzzing with excitement! 🚂😊
The children had the best time digging in the sand, paddling in the sea, and making special memories with their friends. 🏖️💦 There was so much laughter, teamwork and joy throughout the day!
And to top it all off… a well-earned ice lolly back at school! 🍦😋
A truly brilliant day full of smiles, sunshine and seaside fun! 💛🌞

Today marks the start of our Annual Charity Week!

This year to help us continue our Year of reading celebrations and our celebration of Miss Hickisson's 50th year at Montgomery, we are raising money for. Read for Good.

Read for good raise money to enable books to be donated to children's wards in hospitals across the country.

Over this week all pupils will be taking part in a readathon to see just how many minutes we can read as a school across 1 week.

Year 2 had a fantastic visit from Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise last week. We loved learning from Geoffrey Giant about how to care for our teeth. Thank you this really helped us to embed our recent PSHE learning about Oral health.
