A couple of weeks ago we ran a very busy special park yoga session for babies and their grown ups. Over 60 parents came, with babies and older children. It was lovely, especially seeing an army of prams gathering on the hill!
Babies are always welcome at park yoga. If they cry, need feeding or changing, that’s all good. If you need to leave the class to walk them round for a bit and then re-join, that’s absolutely fine.
My aim for these sessions is to make them as widely available as possible. The sessions are 10-11am, every Sunday until 13th September, free, drop in, and there’s no need to book. If you have any questions, just message here or catch me before the session. Looking forward to seeing some of you in the park 😊

🫶 We are looking for more volunteers to support our sessions
💚 Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people while brining joy to your local community
😁 Our volunteers can still participate in the sessions and don't have to commit to supporting every week

There’s a special park yoga session for seniors on Wednesday at Park Life Heavitree. We’ll be on the grass at the back of the building, from 2.30-3.30pm, for a chair based class with standing options too.
No need to book, but do bring a mat or blanket if you’d like to stand or sit on the ground, rather than using a chair. We have chairs for you here.
This photo is of Val, who is in her eighties and has been coming to Park Yoga for the last five years. She’s an essential member of the group 😊

It’s bring your friends week at Park Yoga tomorrow, so if you have a friend who’d like to try it out - even if they don’t know it yet! - then do invite them along 😊 You can always stay to chat under a tree or on your mats, with a coffee from the lovely Park Life Heavitree cafe.
See you tomorrow at 10am in the park ☀️

There’s a special Park Yoga session for parents of babies next Wednesday in the park in Heavitree. We’ll be in the usual Park Yoga spot, on the slope above the cafe, next to the play park. This is a free session, open to everyone. You’re very welcome to bring older children along too.

Two of our lovely Park Yoga people, who’ve become regulars this year. Thank you to all of you who are making this year such a great season. We’re over halfway through now, but there’s still plenty of time to come and join us. Every Sunday morning, 10-11am in the park in Heavitree.

More teabags tomorrow! I know you’ve been enjoying these little gifts from our sponsors Yogi Tea, and they’ve been delicious. Tomorrow’s is a ph Balance, made with dandelion, lavender and barley grass.
As well as balancing tea, there will be the usual slightly more wobbly balancing down at the park tomorrow, so I hope you can join me, 10-11 as always 😊
