We’ve had a great start to the year at Chatterzoom! This week, our theme is the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch. We’ll be creating Lego bird feeders in the Lego Clubs and we’ll be chatting about garden birds in the Chatterzoom Socials. It’s not too late to join us for this block! We have a couple of spaces (maximum of 6 children in a group) and would love to meet some new friends. Please message for more details 😊

Wishing all my lovely Chatterzoomers and their families a very happy Christmas ❤️
🤩Last week, I was very excited to start up a Lego Club in a school local to me! Children came out of their classes in small groups and focused on listening to each other and giving instructions to work as a team. It’s so wonderful to witness a school making social, emotional and mental wellbeing such an big part of the school day.
The current block of online Chatterzoom Lego Clubs and Social Clubs are also off to a brilliant start. So far, we’ve had themes of travel and transport, animals and animal welfare, and this week it’s autumn! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone this week!
I’m so excited about the Chatterzoom Socials and Lego Clubs restarting this week after our summer break ☀️There’s currently one space in the younger Lego Club (age 4-7), one space in the younger social club (age 4-7), and one space in the older social club (age 8+). We have a maximum of 6 in each group so that everyone gets lots of time to talk, ask/answer questions and be heard (but of course if you’d rather just listen, that’s absolutely fine too!) If you’re interested, please get in touch 😊
🤩This week, we had our last Chatterzoom Lego Clubs and Socials until September! The theme of the last session in each block is always “All About Me”. The Lego Clubs built many of their favourite things in a Lego Challenge. The Social Clubs answered questions about themselves and showed things that represent themselves. We saw giant African snails, a wonderful homemade book, beautiful art, heard about incredible swimming competitions, favourite books, favourite memories and much more. What an amazing group of young people❤️
🤩This week, we went on our imaginary summer holidays☀️! In the Chatterzoom Lego Clubs we built everything we needed, including our suitcases🧳! In the Chatterzoom Socials, we played a fun game of running to find things to pack in our bags! We have one more week of Chatterzoom before we have August off. As always, the theme for the last week in the block is ‘All About Me’.
No Chatterzoom this week, due to Covid. I’ve sent everyone an email. So sorry!
An email about the next block has gone out today 🤩

Our theme this week was The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee! In the Lego Clubs, we made some wonderful crowns. We played our favourite “One Word Story” game in the older Chatterzoom Social. In the younger Chatterzoom Socials, we played a fun Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Scavenger Hunt game. One of the objects we had to find was something that could be a flag. This superstar has made a video showing everyone how to make one! Isn’t she amazing 🤩

We’ve been having lots of fun in the Chatterzoom Socials and Lego Clubs recently! There are 2 weeks left in this block before we have a week off. The children in the youngest Lego Club have chosen next week’s theme for us all…underwater animals!

We had the last Chatterzoom Socials and Lego Clubs of this block this week. Our theme was spring animals and lifecycles. In the Lego Clubs we made lifecycle models. In the younger Chatterzoom Socials we acted out the lifecycle of a butterfly and played a spring animal guessing game. In the older group we learned the names of different baby animals and shared some funny jokes. We also had a lovely ‘show and tell’ time in all the groups.
We have one week off now. See you soon!
