🛟 TRAINING 🛟

A fun start to the week teaching a NRASTC (National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers) in Taunton on behalf of The Training Group.

A 2-day course including CPR, AED, basic lifesaving skills & water rescues to ensure these teachers keep their swimmers safe whilst at the pool.

Really knowledgable group of primary, secondary & SEND teachers, swimming teachers and a couple ex-lifeguards chucked in for good measure. The kids are definitely in safe hands 🩵

The drownings in the UK last week have been shocking to say the least, but we’ll be doing our part over the next 6 weeks to get the Key Water Safety Messages out to all our swimmers by visiting schools to ensure every child knows the water safety code!

Drowning is preventable & we all need to do our part.

We are helping them develop skills they can enjoy for life, it’s so much more than just teaching them how to swim 😊

Remember, your SAT’s don’t show off your sporting ability, your creativity, or your kindness. You will go so far in life and everyone around you is already proud of all you’ve achieved during primary school. Go into this week with your head held high. Just try your best, that really is all that matters 🩵

Our swim@school is based around fun, confidence and water safety - we have a quality over quantity approach meaning their skills and technique will be strong before we push the distance - exactly how the Swim England Framework designed their scheme for Stages 1-7.

1:1s and Rookie Lifeguard also available. All at Alphington Primary School, Exeter.

It’s been a busy few weeks behind the scenes! I’ve been out & about stood on lots of other poolsides across the southwest’ Weymouth, Wincanton & this weekend just gone slightly more local in Torbay where I have been teaching lots and lots of new Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teachers! Some incredible new teachers heading out into this wonderful world of aquatics!

My lovely team have been holding down the fort and embracing the new term getting all of our swimmers safe for summer 🩵
