The “Real Secret” to achieving your dream physique

More then once in have been asked…

“What can I take to look like you?”

But really the question you should be asking is “what does it take”

There’s to many people trying to figure out the secret or the next best hack thats going to transform their body

The secret to making the most progress is simply falling in love in the process and how you get there rather than the end goal.

You need to understand “what it takes” is consistently putting in the work

What it takes is committing to the process of becoming a better version of yourself on daily basis

When you do this, you’ll be surprised how much progress you make in all area’s of you life.

6 fundamental steps to getting in shape

1. Calorie deficit
It doesn’t have to be a big deficit it can be as much as 200-300 calories below you’re maintenance calories.

2. Set a high protein
The goal is to build as much muscle as possible while still dropping body fat. You should be consuming 0.7g- 1g per pound of body weight, id personally aim for the higher end.

3. Resistance training 3-5 times a week
When in the gym, you will need to train hard and push yourself the best way to achieve this to apply progressive overload to your training you do this by incresing weight, reps or time under tension over period of week and months.

4. Prioritising Sleep
Sleep is a fundamental aspect when aiming to build muscle and drop fat, personally I recommend 7-9 hours of sleep

5. Get serious with your tracking
If you are serious about your fitness goals I don’t understand why you wouldn’t keep track of calories/macros also weight/reps to look back at previous weeks to compare results even tracking how hours of sleep you get each night. Track the things you are in control of and the rest will fix themselves.

6. Be patient
Social media makes you think that you can achieve your goals within 30 - 60 days but unfortunately that’s not the case building muscle and changing your body takes time. There is no special program its just simply putting the the work day in day out. CONSISTENCY

Longevity
There are are 2 main factors to living a long quality life:
1. Lifespan - how long live
2. Healthspan - how well you live

Due the evolution of technology and artificial in intelligence, experts say that if we can live through the next 20 years there may be chance to live 150.

How I train myself and my clients to have the best chances to live longer

1. Cardiovascular exercise
2. Strength training
3. Mobility

Cardiovascular Exercise
There are two types of CV exercise I would remmed to live a longer life.
1. Zone 2 training - often referred as to as FAT BURNING ZONE is a low to moderate level of cardiovascular output. Zone 2 is 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. Recommend 120-150 mins a week of zone 2 training.
2. High intensity interval training (HIIT) it forces your heart to work at maximum effort for short bursts followed by little recovery time. You will be working at 80-90% of your maximum heart rate therefore increasing your V02 max. Recommend 5-12 minutes a week of HIIT

Strength training
Cardio is for a longer life, strength training is for a better life. Lifting weights with proper form using PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD will be the difference of the quality of your life in your later years.

When we think about lifting we usually think about exercises I try think more about the movement I trying to perform

Mobility
Mobility is one of they keys to quality life. It allows you have the range of motion to complete daily tasks with ease and move around without pain.

Unfortunately people lose mobility due to sitting for long periods of time and sedentary lifestyles.

Mobility is your ability to move while in a lengthened position. Why I recommend dynamic stretching as a part of your warm up routine.

You now have the hacks for living a longer life with a bit of luck on your side of course.
