It's great to see that our engineering programmes keep their high positions in the latest university rankings published recently by The Guardian:
Civil Engineering: 20th place.
Electric & Electronic Engineering: 19th place.
General Engineering: 9th place.
Mechanical Engineering: 9th place.
Our General Engineering programmes are now in top 10 in all three major UK league table rankings.

Our colleague Prof David Butler FREng, co-director of the Centre for Water Systems, chaired the working group which delivered the Royal Academy of Engineering pivotal new report which outlines key priorities for mitigating human health risks from polluted water: 'Priorities for mitigating health risks from wastewater pollution'

Few years ago, we have embarked on an ambitious journey to embed innovation and entrepreneurialism in our engineering curricula. In this journey we have also developed one of the most innovative engineering programmes in the UK - Engineering & Entrepreneurship BEng/MEng. All this was made possible by the generous support ou our alumnus Adam Boyden.
Today Eleanor Griffin - one of our brilliant students enrolled in this programme, has received The Mercia Award from The Worshipful Company of Engineers for her innovation in surgical technology

The event sponsored by IEEEDEIS and National Grid brought together academia and industry leaders in the field of High Voltage engineering. The project's outcomes will closely relate to five SDGs goals - good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, industry, innovation, and infrastructure, and reduced inequalities
