๐ŸŒŸ Building connections across Exmouth ๐ŸŒŸ

Earlier today, schools, charities, community groups and local organisations came together at Exmouth Community College to listen, learn and explore how we can work together to support children, young people and families across the town.

Through a series of conversations and activities, partners began to shape actions and create a vision for what might be possible through collaboration.

This is our second meeting together this year and it was fantastic to explore the priorities emerging across Exmouth, including:

๐Ÿ”นstrengthening support for children and families in the early years
๐Ÿ”นimproving transition between phases of education
๐Ÿ”นdeveloping inclusive provision
๐Ÿ”นexpanding enrichment opportunities
๐Ÿ”นusing local data to identify where support can make the greatest difference

A huge thank you to Exmouth Community College for hosting and everyone who contributed their ideas, expertise and commitment. Strong communities are built through collaboration, and it was inspiring to see so many people united by a shared ambition for Exmouth's young people.

๐Ÿ’™ We look forward to continuing this work together.

๐ŸŽ‰ It's Summer Enrichment Week ๐ŸŽ‰

This week, our students will be swapping their usual timetables for a fantastic range of experiences designed to inspire, challenge and excite.

Whether it's exploring new places, learning new skills, taking on outdoor adventures or diving deeper into their favourite subjects, enrichment activities help bring learning to life and create opportunities that students will remember for years to come.

Here's just a snapshot of what our schools are getting up to this week:

๐ŸŒŸ Sidmouth College students are having an incredible time on their residential trip to the beautiful Ardรจche region of France, enjoying a range of exciting water sports by day and sleeping under the stars by night.

๐ŸŒŸ Cranbrook Education Campus students are enjoying an action-packed Enrichment Week, with trips and activities including an Exeter City Football Camp, alongside visits to Woodlands and Raceworld.

๐ŸŒŸ All Saints Academy Plymouth students have headed to Paris, with 124 students taking part in an international visit packed with cultural and educational experiences.

๐ŸŒŸ St James Exeter students are enjoying an action-packed week, with a London residential, a visit to the University of Plymouth, Football Frenzy and House Competition activities all taking place.

Summer Enrichment Week is all about helping young people discover new interests, develop confidence and broaden their horizons through experiences beyond the classroom.

We can't wait to see the adventures, achievements and memories made throughout the week. Keep an eye on our page for updates! ๐Ÿ“ธโœจ

๐Ÿš€๐Ÿงฑ Designing the future - on Earth and beyond

Students are getting hands-on with two exciting challenge sessions today at the Innovation Competition, using creativity, collaboration and problem-solving to tackle real-world (and out-of-this-world!) challenges.

๐ŸŒ LEGOยฎ Serious Play
Led by Alexis and Joanna from Make Happy, students are building models that represent their visions for sustainable towns and schools of the future. Through storytelling, systems thinking and hands-on creativity, they're exploring how great ideas can shape the world around us. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿง

๐Ÿš€ Minecraft Education: Mission to Mars
Led by Miss Horrell from West Exe School, students are stepping into the role of astronauts as they take on the challenge of colonising Mars. Working with limited resources and real Martian terrain, teams must plan and build sustainable settlements for future generations. With NASA and other organisations already planning future missions to the Red Planet, today's students could be among tomorrow's Mars pioneers. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ”ด

A fantastic showcase of innovation, teamwork and imagination in action, helping students develop the skills they'll need to shape the future.
