Proud moment for Lipson Co-operative Academy 🌟

We are delighted to share the outcomes of Lipson’s recent Ofsted inspection, achieving ‘strong’ ratings in three areas alongside ‘expected’ in the remaining four - an excellent result for our whole community.

Inspectors highlighted the strong sense of belonging within the "Lipson Family", with warm, respectful relationships at the heart of the school and an unwavering commitment from staff to ensure every child is safe, happy and successful 💙

Students were recognised for their positive behaviour and engagement, leaving Lipson as confident and resilient young people, well prepared for adulthood.

A huge thank you to our students, staff, families and wider community for your incredible support and commitment 👏

We’re excited to continue working together to build on this success and further enhance every student’s learning experience.

Running for a Reason 💙🏃‍♀️

What an incredible few weeks it has been!

After celebrating our runners at the Plymouth Half Marathon, we’re so proud of everyone who also took part in the Great West Run in Exeter - what an amazing way to round off our Run for a Reason campaign!

Together, staff from across our schools have raised an incredible £664 to support the South West Opportunities Fund 🙌

This money will help students experiencing disadvantage access outdoor and adventure opportunities beyond the classroom, including initiatives like Ten Tors and the Duke of Edinburgh Award - giving young people the chance to build confidence, resilience, and unforgettable memories 💙

Students from across our family of schools are gearing up to pitch big ideas in the Ted Wragg Trust Innovation Competition 2026 🎉

From low-carbon, sustainable subsea or Martian exploration habitat to the design of a school eco-event aligned with their School Climate Action Plan 🌍🏙️

We can’t wait to see their creativity come to life!

🌍✨ Lipson Students Lead the Way with Litter Pick! ✨🌍

Students at Lipson Co-operative Academy are helping keep their school clean and green 💪♻️

Led by the Eco Committee, pupils took part in a litter pick across the playground and football field—finishing with a well-earned hot chocolate and biscuits 🍪☕

This is part of Lipson’s wider sustainability work, including new solar panels and their Climate Action Plan, Small Steps – Big Impact. 🌱 A fantastic example of students making a difference!

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved at All Saints Academy Plymouth and the Burrington Community Hub, in partnership with Clean Our Patch CIC, especially our students whose dedication and enthusiasm continue to make such a positive difference in the community. 🌍 World Environment Day 2026 |

Today we’re proud to mark World Environment Day, a global call to act on climate change.

At the Ted Wragg Trust, we’re committed to empowering young people to become responsible and thoughtful members of their communities.

And across our schools, staff students and our local communities have been busy delivering new initiatives:
👉Lipson Co-operative Academy have recently had over 583 new solar panels installed
👉St Luke's C of E School Exeter have over 100 new tree seedlings growing and have opened their pollinator patch
👉Exwick Heights Primary School new bug hotels are open for business
👉Exmouth Community College installed new LED floodlights for the astroturf pitches

🚀 Coming soon – Innovation Competition
Our Trust-wide Innovation Competition returns for its fifth year, with students tackling real-world environmental issues through creativity, research, and digital innovation. Together with Exeter College and the Green Skills Advisory Panel, we’ll be treated to student projects that have explored bold, creative solutions for a low-carbon, sustainable subsea or Martian exploration habitat, as well as the design of a school eco-event aligned with their School Climate Action Plan. 🌱

🌟 Fantastic news for Sidmouth College🌟

We are proud to share Sidmouth College met the expected standard across all areas following its recent Ofsted inspection — the first school in our Trust to be inspected under the new national framework introduced this academic year.

Under Ofsted’s new five-point scale, expected standard is the benchmark for a high-performing school doing everything it should.

Inspectors praised:
✅ An ambitious curriculum that prepares students well for their next steps
✅ GCSE English and maths results are above the national average
✅ Positive and respectful relationships between staff and students
✅ A wide range of activities that help students develop skills and feel a sense of belonging
✅ The constructive relationships with parents and the wider community
