🏃‍♀️🏅 Sports Day fun for Year 1 ! 🏅🏃‍♂️

🌸 Year 1 have been exploring the beautiful artwork of Georgia O’Keeffe!

We looked closely at flowers using the magnifier tool on our iPads, noticing tiny details, shapes and patterns. We then used our observations to create our own detailed flower drawings inspired by O’Keeffe’s close-up style.

On the last day of school the kitchen will serve fishfingers and chips and falafel and chips instead of the listed menu choice.

💧☀️ Year 4 Spruce Class brought science to life by creating their very own water cycle in a bag! They are now going to observe how the sun heats the water, causing it to evaporate, condense and eventually form "rain" inside the bag. This exciting investigation will help them understand how the water cycle works through first-hand observation. Fantastic scientific learning, Spruce Class! 🌧️👏

Year 6 took the opportunity in PE to practice their track and field skills one last time ready for their final Sports Day at NHP on Monday!

As part of RE learning on how Christians welcome new members to the Christian community, Aspen class held a christening for Gerald the Gingerbread Man. The vicar welcomed Gerald into the Christian family using water to baptise him as a sign of new beginning and God's love.

The tomato plants that were donated kindly by a parent have found a home in the garden of our Rainbow room. We will let you know how they get on! 🍅
