A key idea from the Greek Stoics... Epictetus famously stated, "Remember that you are an actor in a drama, of such a kind as the author pleases to make it... Your business is to act well the part that is given to you." Or put another way (Shakespeare), "All the world's a stage...", and to put it yet another (more spiritual) way, if you know your place in life you will have inner peace (Buddhism central tenet).

Just food for thought...

A little English lesson from my weekend away 🎣 Did you know 'to reel something in' also means to attract or win someone over - not just catching a fish! English is full of these little double meanings. Spent today fishing near Eccleshall, Staffordshire, and it got me thinking about how many idioms come from everyday hobbies. Can you think of any?
