It was a great honour for Irani Mathra Dancing Academy to participate in the 9th Multi-Ethnic Dance Festival 2026, organised by the Nepalese Cultural Centre NZ Inc., at Victory Convention Centre.

It was a beautiful celebration of culture, diversity, unity, and community, bringing together more than 25 ethnic communities on one stage. Our Mathra dancers were proud to represent Sri Lankan traditional dance and culture and share our heritage with the wider New Zealand community.

This yearโ€™s festival carried an especially meaningful message as the community came together in solidarity with Nepal and those affected by the recent floods. โค๏ธ

One stage. Many cultures. One community. ๐ŸŒ
