We are incredibly proud to announce that Irani Mathra Dancing Academy has secured 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚 𝐄𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at the Victory Convention Centre on Saturday, 15 August!🥈

For the second consecutive year, our talented dancers have brought home a podium finish - a remarkable achievement that reflects their dedication, discipline, teamwork, and passion for Sri Lankan dance. Seeing the Sri Lankan flag proudly flying on the stage was an incredibly special and emotional moment for all of us.❤️

This year, we were also honoured to team up with the amazing 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, bringing together the vibrant cultures and traditions of Sri Lanka and Colombia on one stage. What an incredible celebration of diversity, culture, and dance! 🇱🇰🤝🇨🇴

Preserving and sharing the beauty of Sri Lankan traditional dance and our rich cultural heritage with the next generation has always been the mission of Irani Mathra Dancing Academy.

We are truly honoured that one of our performances was featured on a Sri Lankan news channel broadcast in the United States. It is a proud moment for our students, their families, and our academy, and a meaningful recognition of the beauty and value of Sri Lankan traditional dance.

At Irani Mathra Dancing Academy, we do more than teach dance. We inspire children to embrace their culture, build confidence, develop discipline, and take pride in their Sri Lankan identity.

✨ මාත්‍රා නර්තන පාසලේ මුහුරත් මංගල්‍යය (සිලම්බු මංගල්‍යය)✨

අපගේ මාත්‍රා රංගාභිෂේක ප්‍රසංගයට පෙර සතියේ, මාත්‍රා නර්තන පාසලේ ඉතාමත් අර්ථවත් හා සුවිශේෂී මුහුරත් මංගල්‍යයක් (සිලම්බු මංගල්‍යය) පැවැත්වීමට අපට හැකි විය. නවසීලන්තයේ ප්‍රථම වතාවට සිදු වූ මෙම මුහරත් මංගල්‍යය, සැහැසින් දුටූවන්ට බොහෝ දේවල් දැක ගන්නට ලැබුනි.

මෙවර ප්‍රසංගයේදී ප්‍රථම වතාවට සිලම්බු පැළඳගෙන වේදිකාවට පිවිසීමට සූදානම් වූ මගේ දරුවන්ට, සිලම්බුවේ සැබෑ අර්ථය, එහි ඇති ආධ්‍යාත්මික හා සංස්කෘතික වටිනාකම, සහ නර්තන ශිල්පියෙකුගේ ගමනේ එය සංකේතවත් කරන වගකීම පිළිබඳ අවබෝධයක් ලබාදීම මෙම උත්සවයේ ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ විය.
